I have a Galaxy S2 and a Note, both very good phones well worth having, with the Note edging it on battery life, lasting longer than the S2. Everything else about the phones is pretty good to be honest, i've been pleasantly surprised and pleased to own them.

Also the speaker on HTC phones are terrible, very tinny, as was the call quality, features on the phone good though.

I used to have a HTC Sensation, sent it back as the speaker was next to useless, got a Samsung SG11, brill phone, call quality & speaker very good, as are it's features

I'm in the same position as the OP. I have my upgrade coming up at the end of may. I was an avid apple fan until I had my iphone 4 stolen last month. To keep me going till my upgrade, I bought a samsung galaxy Y. Although this is an entry level android phone I quite like it, I think a top end android phone might actually be better than the iphone I think I will go for the samsung Note or samsung galaxy 2.

I would wait and get the S3. What's the point of an upgrade if you are going to get 12 month old phone?

The S3 sounds like its going to look good. The quad core might be pointless for a while and the battery upgrade is basically to produce enough juice to power the core. Screen will have higher res - although the S2 screen is just as good as the iphone 4.

Apart from that it will have ICS with touchwiz like the S2 and a slightly better camera.

As I said, its a look good upgrade but still worth it if you are going to change.
