I gte my sausages from Costco. Their Cumberland ones are especially great. They come in packs of 18 so I split em and freeze em.

Cooking - I am an oven girl. I just stick em in a heated baking dish at 175 for about 25 minutes. I try to remember to give em a shake halfway through but even if I forget they still taste yummy. Stick a few onions in with 'em and make a gravy from them for extra yumminess!

Agreed. Pricking sausages is a major no no, and they are worth the wait!

I get mine from Costco too, the 90% meat ones. I split, freeze then vacuum pack.

I normally do mine in my halogen oven, I buy Sainsburys Butchers choice if i want a nice but not too expensive sausage, for normal use I get just some frozen pork and beef.

If I really want something special I get some pork sausages from our local butchers.

but normally use the Halogen for them all, i not a fan of fried stuff these days apart from the odd portion of chips.

Fry them
Slowly over a low/medium heat.

I like my sausages very well done (but not burnt) so I grill them. Never, ever prick them.

In the oven on a baking tray. 180C for about 30-45 mins, depending on how you like them done. If frozen, then 160C.

First buy the 'perfect sausage'. That's probably the hardest part.

I couldn't stand sausages until I bought some from our butchers for the OH and they were lovely, no gristle or nasty 'what was that' moments! I now buy the same sausage only as a chipolata as I find them easier to cook. I dry pan fry them on a low to average heat, no need to prick just keep turning them to brown on all sides, cooked in 10-12 minutes. Only trouble is they come in all lengths depending on who was preparing them and how much attention they're paying. The other day I had to roll one like a cumberland sausage otherwise it wouldn't have fitted in the pan!

Sometimes I just brown them and then coat them in honey ( or whatever you prefer) and put them on the oven to finish off/keepwarm.
