Hi I am a "newbe"
i was wondering if any one could give me advice on connecting a HD TV TO a Cinema sytem and SKY HD BOX.I am a Pensioner and not very up on this new technology .
The TV is a Toshiba 40BV801B ,it has 4 HDMI, 2 Scart, USB, Component, Composite, CI Slot, DLNA (wireless streaming) and a PC Input.Coax terminal
The Home Theater System is a Panasonic SC-BTT370,it has Digital Audio in terminal,Aux terminal,Video out terminal,HDMI AV OUT (ARC)terminal,HDMI 1 in (Cable/Sat)terminal and HDMI 2 in terminal.
I assume you are aware of the connections on the latest Sky HD Box.
My problem is,if i use the 2 HDMI leads to wire up this configuration ,i need three remote,s to operate this set up which is a bit cumbersome to say the least!
I have one HDMI(ARC)lead plugged into the "Panny" from the Reciever and have tried the other HDMI LEAD (Pink) supplied by Sky plugged into the connection marked(HDMI 1 Cable/Sat)on the Cinema system and a converter from the Coaxial on the Receiver to convert the Coaxial to a Toslink"to connect to the "Panny" for sound.
Unfortunately this means i have to use one remote to set the source on the TV,one remote to do the same on the Cinema System and one to operate the Sky Box.The only way round this is to use a Scart CABLE which i wanted to avoid if possible.
Any advice would be much appreciated .
