It reminded me of Pendulum on my first listen... Looking forward to hearing more from him!

I'd have thought even a casual X Factor viewer would remember Aiden. He caused a bit of a stir singing Mad World.

The single is brilliant by the way

I was expecting to have to slag this off, but it's actually not bad. I wouldn't have used that off-beat snare in the chorus though

I really love this. When it started I thought it sounded very 'Hurts' which can only be a good thing. It's certainly not what you'd expect of from ex X Factor contestant.

Aiden was my favourite of his year and was gutted when he was eliminated over the likes of Katie and Wagner

she parted company with RCA Records in 2011 due to, as Diana worded it, "creative differences". That's just a nicer way of saying they were disappointed with the sales of her album and the chart performance of the singles after "Once" so they let her go. She's hardly going to say she was dropped. She's yet to score another record deal.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Aiden Grimshaw didn't become yet another cautionary tale as to why being on The X-Factor does not guarantee a long career. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

YES Hurts...tht dark/synthy kinda vibe.

I am actually in love with him tbh! I mean i loved him on the show that series, but so glad to hear he is very much his own artist now

And yes i understand the Pendulum vibes...damn he will be fantastic at festival style performances actually with these sounds...so effing intrigued as to what other sounds and styles he has experimented with on his debut album....very much excited and hope that he hits it big and he gets adio to playlist this song....it really is a surprise of the year

Just checked it out

It's dark and very different. But i find his voice too auto tuned. Majorly off putting.

Awful....... and that's just with sound

If he was visible, it would be doubly awful

Aren't you a Cheryl fan?? Apologies if I've got that wrong.

Song was played on radio 1 today apparently. Good sign. I hope it does well, it's a really good song and he hasn't gone with the obvious. Really impressed

The video debuted on the Gaurdian website not long ago. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musi...aiden-grimshaw

Aiden is in it for max 3 seconds!

Honestly I expected this to be something epic from the reviews so far, but it's a bit weird for me. I can't explain it. It almost sounds like the vocals doesn't suit the instrumental for me. It's almost like he's singing a ballad but has this crazy dance tune in the background.

For me, it's just an OK song. Very forgettable. But he sounds like he's improved in his voice and I'll definitely keep an eye out for him in the future. I suspect I'll end up liking some of his slower songs.

I've never heard of him.

But I like this. It's addictive. I will dance to this.

The chorus is the best part (as expected) but the bridge isn't interesting at all.

This is out today. Hope it does well for him. It's had a fair amount of airplay on Radio 1 so that bodes well.

I'm hoping (and thinking) that it'll do well, but I can't see it on iTunes yet

I find the chorus extremely cringeworthy for some reason, i cannot stand hearing it, the rest of the track is good though, nothing amazing though.
