Gosh I had him as a finalist even though he hasn't really been a favourite of mine.

Surely the competition belongs to Philip now.

He must have really plummeted in the votes, going from never bottom three to bottom, especially against Elise and Hollie.

Is Phillip praying to God 'Woohoo thankyou Lord, got this in the bag now'.

I would say that came out of nowhere, but it was certainly an off-night for Colton. But I thought the screaming tweenies would get him through. Oh well, all those votes will go to Phillip now. lol

Good performance from Colton at the end. I reckon he could easily front a band.

As much as I love Hollie that was the wrong choice kicking off Colton. Also I had no idea who Kris Allen was and then after looking him I remembered he was the guy who wrongly won over Adam Lambert. I wonder if there is ever any stress in the house when the wrong person goes as Philip looked gutted.

Why do you assume that his fans would be screaming tweenies? Colton was my favourite and I am in my late twenties. I thought he had something special. Plus I hate Philip.

Colton deserved to be in the bottom three on the night. Still I'm surprised it happened, but I overall think it's about right. He's a good looking guy and a nice fellow no doubt, but just not exceptional enough a singer. He also had the misfortune of no previous bottom three appearance to get his fan base voting. Let's call it doing a Pia.

Hollie is turning into this year's Haley. She's a cutie and handles her bottom threes with grace and simple charm. Not a chance of winning but I think people look forward to seeing her.

The judges thought it was going to be a Joshua and Jessica final, but I'm now thinking Skylar and Philip.

Good result from my point of view. Surprised he lasted this long, to be honest. I thought he was very ordinary at best and very poor this week.

I never watch the programmes live because there are too many fillers (adverts etc). The performance show only takes me an hour to watch, instead of the scheduled two hours.

I agreed with the great American public about Colton - I kept thinking of Aiden Grimshaw when I saw him. His song choices this week were very poor.

Phillip is the only one to have avoided the bottom three, so will probably be in the final (although that didn't save Colton). I think it is likely that Skylar will also be there, mainly because the country vote is so strong. She could win it, but some of her outfits are odd.

I don't quite get Joshua - I certainly find it hard to see why the judges think he is so wonderful.

Jessica was over-rated to start with, but now turns in some reasonable performances.

The star of the show for me is Jimmy - I find most of his comments right on the money. The judges just think everyone is great.

I quite agree. Jimmy always says what I am thinking, love him.

He wasn't good at all this week, was he? I wasn't a fan but I thought he would win as his type tend to do well on AI.

I don't know what he was thinking with those terrible song choices. That was clearly his downfall. Jimmy Iovine's comments were spot on about him looking like Billy Idol in the 1980's.

His hair really didn't suit him. He was a good looking lad but his hair made him look too thin and rat-faced.

He seemed to see himself as a rocker type but he didn't have that type of voice. His best performance was Billy Joel's Piano Man. That was more his style than some of his other odd song choices.

I knew he would be out as soon as they showed the clip of him backstage saying that he got bad comments but 'not to be arrogant, but I don't care'. It was almost like they wanted us to see that and then see him get his comeuppance for being so cocky.

So now it looks like Phillip v Skylar or Phillip v Joshua for the final. Jessica possibly but I think the other two have more of a chance.

I certainly don't mind people who like them for their talent (I thought Colton was interesting too) but the girls who scream and only like them because they're hot are annoying and I can't help but feel like that's why they were the only two to avoid the bottom three.
Although I suppose if Colton can drop so low then Phillip could too.

Blame Jimmy he's the one who said they were the ones competing for the girl vote.
