I've been hanging on waiting for the Kindle Fire in the UK as I'd like a tablet which can be used for occasional e-reader use, as well as general web browsing, youtube etc.

However, I'm now thinking a general 7" tablet might be more versatile, and I'm thinking of this NATPCM009S http://www.amazon.co.uk/NATPC-M009S-...pr_product_top

But I've also seen some good reviews of Ainol Tablets.

Can anyone advise? I'm not really wanting to spend over £120 unless it is well worth it.

My mate just bought one of these recently, and so far it seem pretty good.

Flash a bit of a issue with it, but seem pretty good.

I have an Ainol Elf - an excellent little tablet that works really well...can be had easily for your budget and YouTube general browsing is fine on it.

My advice:

WAIT.

The Kindle Fire is a poor choice, due to it's locked into Amazon ecosystem and inferior subset of apps and content.

Google 7in tablets, affordable Asus and Samsung 7in tablets are just around the corner, priced similar to the Fire, but with none of the downsides.

There are plenty of very good 7" tablets available now - no need to wait

I've just taken delivery of one of these.

And can't get it off the kids so I've ordered another.

At £62.49 it's a tad over half what you wanted to pay.

Downside - it came with 2.3.4 not android 4. It took 3 weeks to get here.

Great kit for the money, but it's never going to match the mid and high end Android tablets, and there will be an army of iOS nutters claiming that this sorta model represents what all Android tablets are.

Good price for it - do you know if you can get Android 4 for it?

I know you can get ones of the same spec in the UK for Aound £70-£80 with Android 4 on.

I've specifically asked for 4 to be on the 2nd one I've ordered and I do have a link for what I think is the download for 4. It's one of those do I, don't I moments. If I brick it, bye bye 65 quid. But to be honest I bought it for quick surfing while watching the telly and watching Iplayer and a few games. And it does all that and more.

I struggled to find the 70-80 quid ones in stock. It;s always the way though, 10 minutes after ordering, you get a spam telling you you can get one locally for a fiver more. ho hum

Should be fine doing an upgrade - pretty straight forward to do - I've tried a couple of different ones on my tablet and not had a problem. Just make sure the tablet is fully charged before it starts.
