I know Cheryl wanted one of Lana's (many!) unreleased songs for her new album but didn't realise it was going to be a duet?

Cheryl Cole has revealed she's teamed up with Lana Del Rey on her new album 'A Million Lights'.

The 'Fight For This Love' singer had been rumoured to have recorded a duet with the 'Video Games singer last month but the collaboration has now been confirmed.

Run Lana or Cancel it, or pick Nadine instead.

Cole is incapable of doing anything on her own of musical merit.

With Lana next to Tweedy at least the public can see what real talent and beauty is, [Lana] but Lana could still back out.

No idea why but I have a sinking feeling it could be Damn You. This is the 37 second demo that has had me craving the full version for a while now (SINGING ON HER OWN, lol)

Sadly, there is an element of truth in what you say... she's not the only one though.

Hmm, i think people are judging this way too early, for all we know it could be amazing. Sometimes things that dont look like they go together actually work really well together. Just recently my brother assured me that cheese and chocolate spread sandwiches are the food of Gods.

I think you are correct and I will certainly give it a listen. It will be the first time I will be anxiously awaiting the release of a Cheryl Cole recording.

I agree. Not about the cheese and chocolate spread thing though.

I think it's an odd pairing, but I'm looking forward to hearing it. Perhaps Cheryl's grown musically? I don't know, but I'll certainly give it a listen when it comes out.

The only duet song she released was 3 Words. This might just be an album track.

Why is it when I heard this news I immediately had this image in my head:

I hope I'm proved wrong though.

I was thinking the same. That's a duet I never want to hear live

That's disgusting.

I'm slowly starting to think that Lana is just another product of the music industry. What serious musician in their right mind would want to work with that talentless media whore?

Cheryl's website listed collaborators, Lana was in the list along with other writers and producers, so it probably isn't a duet and Cheryl is actually just singing one of her songs.

That's what everyone initially thought but:

Cole revealed the news in a press release for her new single 'Call My Name'.

i suppose it could all be a misunderstanding?

this is what the press were given to report on. it doesn't actually suggest that the collaboration is a duet.

I really doubt it is a duet but it would be a huge honour for Cheryl to colloborate with someone like Lana.

I thought that all along. She was hyped up for being another much-hailed 'credible' artist, the US's answer to Adele... and she completely failed to deliver.

She can write and hold a tune, good for her... that doesn't make her a musical goddess whom Cheryl Cole is far beneath. If anything I think this collab could increase her UK profile (and that has nothing to do with talent, or arguably in Cheryl's case lack of).
