There was something a bit off about "What A Feeling". I got the feeling she wasn't really comfortable singing it. The only other performace of hers I wasn't keen on, was Honesty, but that was because I didn't know the song, and didn't like it. She didn't sing it badly.

It's kind of strange for Jessica to have been bottom, and now not even been in the bottom three since. Who knows how the voting is going?

I imagine she'll go this week, considering she is the only one left who has consistently been in the bottom three. But you never know, she might make a late surge up the votes like Hayley did. She has managed to leap frog someone every week though, as she is usally bottom two, so hopefully that will happen this week. She's done so well though, and handled herself amazingly throughout all the criticism she's had from judges, so she should be proud of herself if this week is her last.

Agree, overall I've found Joshua/Jessica to be the most consisent performers, while I have a soft-spot for Hollie. Although Skylar has got so much better recently, whereas Phillip really hasn't changed at all and he's the only one I really don't want to win now. Possibly because it seems like he will mainly because of his looks, while the others have to rely on just their singing and have all had to fight to survive each week.

Why do people think Phillip is getting through simply because of his looks? If it's possible for me to be a fan of him, regardless of his looks, then it's possible for many others to be.

He was Phillip before the show, and he hasn't changed his style just to not be boring. (Skylar always makes her songs country yet no-one says she's doing the same thing every week.) And that's why I'm a fan. He knows who he is and the artist he wants to be, and he's sticking to that every week. Even within that, he's still changed things up a bit. Phil Collins one week, then Maroon 5, picked a genius Queen song, then Dave Matthews. He is changing it up, but within his style.

Totally agree. Philip is a true musician, not simply someone who can sing like some of the others - Hollie in particular.

I'm just saying it's frustrating now knowing how much of his success in the voting is down to his looks. He's the only one that has never hit the bottom three, which I don't think he deserves to be honest.

He gets screams each week and is dubbed the 'ladykiller', and Jimmy said that Phillip was competing with Colton for the girl vote. So even the show knows who Phillip is appealing to.

But then again Colton hit the bottom of the voting, so clearly no fanbase is set in stone.

I still don't see anywhere that suggests most of his votes are because of how he looks. Unless you go out and ask every single person who voted for Phillip, I don't think you can assume that most of his success is down to that.

It's all opinion. I think he has delievered consistently good performances, and I'm not suprised he's sailed through each week. I had him down as a finalist and potential winner right from his first audition. He has a unique style and unique sounding voice. He has the querky leg thing, and ths strained facial expressions. He stands out because of all that. And he's original and not trying to be anyone but himself. As he said himself, he's not trying to win votes of impress people, he's just doing his thing, and if people like it, then great.

Hollie is the best singer in it IMO. At least we agree on Phillip

Not a bad shout - Think Hollie might go first, sadly followed by Joshua. Lets hope we get a Joshua, Jessica final.

I think tonight proved when they praised Hollie so highly that they are far from false. Joshua deserves every comment made about him because he is off the scale.

hmm Phillip was actually the worst out of all of them last night. Over the years we have ha eventual winners like Kris/Scotty/Lee who have performe similarly every single week, not really improving but have never been the clear worst of the night. Last night Phillip was clearly the weakest vocalist. I think he may be in trouble but he wont go. I actually think Jessica will come 5th surprisingly!

Phillip's not just about his vocal though, he's more about the whole package, the artistic side of performing, if that makes any sense? (It does to me ) It's hard to compare him to the ones with big voices, as that's not what he's about.

Jessica wont be going anywhere after her second performance. I think it will be Philip and Skylar bottom with Skylar leaving.

Philip will leave next week.

For what its worth I've had Philip in my top three since the auditions. I honestly believe he can win the show, although I have to admit to putting Colton there too (I thought he'd get the "girly" vote).

Philip was the only one who grabbed me right away, and I mentioned before that I had him down to be in the final right away.
