Right I assume this elaborate code means error.

Does anyone know with regards to what the error is?

I dont know if its the same but I had this problem on a vcr (proline model)

Do you get this problem mainly when rewinding?, if so it could be the same problem

The mechanism that detects when it is getting near the start of the tape has become faulty and i dont think theres a fix without getting replacement parts for it

With mine it would rewind and give this message, I than had to put it into standby and back on again, it would then play ok

In the end I bought a new one

Sorry for not replying earlier

I did find a description of this error on the internet, but I cant find it anymore

It is something todo with the tape sensor in the machine, there is a replacement part that will fix it, unfortunatly I cant find the details anymore

But whether its worth the cost of repairing over getting a new one I dont know

Any idea what exaclty is wrong with the sensor. Would a clean sort it or is it more serious than that.

I have been trying to find the details of this problem, after searching last night and a bit today I still cant find the link about it

I didnt try cleaning mine but it might certainly be worth a try

Do you get the same error with & without a tape inserted?
