Loss of programmes on my kitchen tv

A bit off topic.

A kitchen without a tv is just not on for me, especially during kitchen cleaning spells. And then during the week 7pm and Emmerdale in the background has been my evening meal time for cooking routine. I coped with digital turn off at Stage 1, because it meant the channels only moved minus 1 space, ITV1 ended up sitting on BBC2. Now with the total turn off I have nothing left but snow storm.

Bedroom 1 I will shell out and get an Argos Freeview TV, and a plug in power aerial, no problem. To end my kitchen woes I will pop into the DS Tech rooms to see if there are any suggestions for updating my time well served (monthly soda crystal solution cleaned) well loved kitchen analogue tv.

I have never had a kitchen (or house) big enough to need a tv in the kitchen. I can see my living room tv from my kitchen, and I've realised that's been more or less the case in every place I've ever lived.

I use my laptop as my kitchen TV.

I prefer to have the radio on as I don't want to avert my eyes from the business at hand, namely cooking my dinner

I have a radio and TV in my kitchen but I rarely watch the TV screen - only listen.

It's probably useful for the cooking channels

You could use one of these if your TV has a scart socket.

Ok, thanks for the helpful suggestions here. I have done the research and it appears that the bedroom tv has a scart bit so I can look on Amazon again for the kit to bring it up to date. The kitchen tv has no scart bit so I will give it to charity. The hunt is on for a very basic freeview set up for the kitchen, and 2 indoor freeview aerials cheaper than Argos.
