Same here plus any animal organs i.e. kidney, liver, etc. I'm pulling a vomit face just by typing about it.

I'll try most things at least once and there are very few foods which I really 'can't' stomach.

Fussy eating was not a luxury allowed when I was growing up, so i learnt to eat most things even if the experience wasn't entirely enjoyable..

The only things that really used to make me heave were parsnips. I used to be left with my plate of cold dinner and parsnips until I finished them. Crying over them for an hour or so never improved them. As an adult, I've been to someone's house where a baked parsnip dish was one of the main offerings, and whilst I didn't go back for seconds I could eat enough to avoid being rude, so all that harsh training worked!

I can eat most savoury foods even if I don't think all of them delicious.

I don't like marsh mallows, spam, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a lot of confectionery (Mars bars, Topic, Snickers etc), most of the stuff in Greggs (greasy puff pastry - bleurgh), Pizza Hut pizzas. Fortunately, there's absolutely no need for me to eat any of the above.

I suddenly feel very hungry, apart from the meat - yum!

I'm quite surprised at the amount of people who hate tomatoes!

If all the fussy babies on here were really hungry their list would be what I have typed below:

My mum was anorexic and didn't mind if we left food - therefore my list is rather long. However, I make an effort with many things I used to dislike (cabbage in all its varieties is now a favourite, as is broccoli.) However I still cannot abide:

Eggs - in all forms, unless used to make a cake, yorkshire pud or pancakes
Cheese
Milk
Mustard
Offal
Coffee
Shellfish
Tuna
Salmon
Any type of curry
Mayonnaise (why do all bought sandwiches have to contain it?)

Celery, offal except haggis, and shellfish except prawns. I'm not a fussy eater and generally try anything once, and I want to get over aversions like that, but my stomach just utterly refuses to let the above stay down.

Hummus. It is revolting beyond words. The consistency, the smell, the taste, everything.

Well for me two items stand out and the first are those excrescences that are known by the term of Avocado "pear".

The second is overcooked Brussels sprouts which should forever be confined to Hades, pit of hell.

brussel sprouts are delicious raw and really good for you. They just taste like green vegetables and the smaller ones taste a little sweet too.

Tomatoes and olives, revolting.

I'm not one to turn my nose up unless I absolutely cannot stand it. I will eat most things but I draw the line at:

Any type of crustacean - Lobster, Crayfish, Mussels and especially Shrimp and Prawns. They remind me of maggots. I had a food "phobia" of such things until my boyfriend told me I should stop being "pathetic" give prawns and lobster a go about a year ago. Horrible taste, disgusting texture, I don't know why people do it!

Chicago Town Pizzas - My dad used to buy these all the time. Look like cardboard, taste like cardboard and raw tomato puree. The sheer sight of them as an adult sends shivers down my spine.

I have tried my very best to like Olives and Coffee to appear sophisticated but I just can't bare either. And Coffee reminds me of being in primary school - Teachers breath.

Like another poster said, I don't see what all the fuss is about with Krispy Kreme. The texture of them is awful and sickly, they don't even taste like doughnuts - Give me 4 freshly made ones from a stall for £1 anyday!

I will also refuse:

Chicken Wings.
Mayonnaise.
Wotsits.
Eel.
Heart, tongue or brawn (I LOVE liver and kidney though)
Bagels.
Ketchup.
Ploughmans pickle.
Tea.
Anything "sun dried".
Veal.
Blue cheese.
Smoothies.
Sour Cream.
Spam.
Most "processed stuff" - Iceland chicken nuggets and the like - the texture makes me feel ill and there's always bits of gristle.

I avoid sultanas when I can. They remind me of cockroaches - it's the colour. I can't get past it.

I have only recently decided I like jam - I used to avoid that like the plague for some unknown reason.

Indeed, andersonsonson, and it's unfortunate that vegetables are all too frequently boiled to death in the UK. I once worked at my local museum and it had the misfortune to be right next to the main university canteen so from mid morning to lunchtime the vile sulphurous smell of very overcooked vegetables would come in through the windows and it wasn't at all pleasant.

Ha ha! I much prefer batons to discs.

I think discs remind me too much of those soggy, tasteless, over-boiled excuses for carrots you used to get at school.

So do you like meat or not?

I try to eat all veg raw. Cooking destroys all the vitamin c and some of the other good things. And also eating raw cleans my teeth after eating something like cereal and the raw veg will take away all of the bits stuck in teeth
