I actually went to the show last night!
How exciting is that - my friend got tickets via the record company!
Everything sounds SO different in the studio - having now watched the show back on TV I can tell you the difference is amazing! VWS sounds pretty grim in the studio and so much better on TV. Cassie sounded great in the studio and not so great on TV - her voice in the studio just made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! G4 were terrible both in the studio and on TV - there was actually laughing in the studio audience! Steve was great both in the studio and on TV - he certainly has the X Factor - he had great presence on stage and looked so relaxed. Rowetta just sounds and looks like a man in drag to me so its difficult for me to comment - but she just seems flat live - I was really disappointed - I expected a tingle and it just did not happen. 2 to Go were poor on TV and worse live - honestly they lack everything X Factor related! Tabby was ok - again I am not sure I get it but he certainly gave the audience something to rock about! You realise when you are there how hard Kate Thornton works - she is so calm though - bearing in mind this is live TV and 8million are watching she is very proffesional and relaxed. We had chance to ask the judges questions in the ad breaks and they were all very chatty and friendly! I actually did get to have a chat with Simon and he signed my Il Divo album - he was I have to say just lovely - very sexy (but my previous posts have given that little secret away before) but seemed again very relaxed and laid back - nice skin and just gorgeous eyes!!!! Overall a great experience and a fantastic night - bought myself an official mug and loved everysecond! I'm still rooting for G4 and was positively beside myself when they went through - bearing in mind how awful they were they must have one hell of a fan base to make it through last nights terrible performance!!!! |

Lucky you!!!
![]() Mind you, you shouldn't have chatted to Simon! You should've slapped Louis Walsh around a couple of times and told him what we think about his song choices for the boys!!! Now you got me thinking... I might go and tell him myself. He won't like it! LOL |

Cheers for that insight Alisonrose.
I was kinda suprised that Cassie wasn't in the final 2, and not VWS, they came across on the tv good last night, but I agree with Simon, a little flat at times. Cassie just didn't have it on the show. |

SCAB rules ok But I'm starting to feel like being in SCAB is a dirty secret - my friends just don't get the Simon thing at all. Some have suggested I may need help.... |

I met Simon as well about 3 months ago - he was in front of me in the queue at a motorway service station. He was lovely and when the checkout girl recognised him he was really chatty and friendly.

Glad to hear someone who was there saying about the laughing in the audience, I was rolling about the floor at home. If this was kings of comedy they would of won hands down.

Again it shows that these reality tv shows are so cleverly edited because watching on tv none of this was shown

Quite often the camera pans around the audience, and you see audience reaction, especially at the end of the performances.
Laughing was not shown was all i was trying to put across. |

Simon is a sweetheart....congrats to you for being able to meet him. I met him a few months ago here in the US and I still can't think about it without getting a goofy grin on my face. There isn't a word in the english language that describes how sexy he is.

True...but the only reason people laughed at it was because Britney sings it. Its not because of g4, just the fact that Britney sings it. If someone else sung it, there probably wouldn't have been laughter
