TV Aerial Socket

My freeview TV's aerial socket does not hold the aerial cable very well my picture breaks up unless you hold the cable into the socket, as soon as you let go it slackens and the picture breaks up. I have moved the TV to try in different rooms and the problem is just the same so it seems to be the socket on the TV that is the problem. Is there any other way you can connect the aerial to the TV with maybe a connection piece of some sort that could be put into the scart socket. Maybe I am asking the impossible. It would be a shame if the TV had to be thrown out because of this problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

why not just try to "adjust" the socket with a screwdriver so that the cables stays firm.
a little bending of the outer metal part should be enough to keep the cable in place.

It depends really what the exact problem is, it 'may' just need the socket squeezing together with a pair of pliers, but if the socket is loose on the tuner, it will require resoldering.
