I think that week 4 will see Louis loose either VWS or G4 (I hope its VWS).

Sharon is fairly safe with Tabby and Cassie.

But Simon is undoubtedly the safest. Rowetta is just fantastic and Steve has a HUGE fan base.

Can't wait to see Simon grinning - He knows he's got this week in the bag

And how funny will it be to see Louis have to choose between G4 and VWS? lol

I agree with you chocopop, I think we are going to see Louis with 2 acts in the bottom 2 again next week.

......well in the case of that scenario, common sense would tell me that Louis would choose his strongest group with the biggest fan base....now who could that be do you think (answers on a postcard please )

.....totally agree. Cassie needs a stunning performance this week, otherwise I can`t see how she can avoid the bottom 2.

much as i hate to say it, i think VWS will be in the bottom two with cassie or G4.

but as it is VWS's turn to go, it shouldn't matter too much

You know guys, I just can't do the 'safe' thing anymore. I just don't think anyone can be 'safe'. It all depends. There really seems to be a relation between voting and performance in this show. Apart from the first week when VWS were in the death spot.

It's also something which seems to reflect cumulative performances - like Vee was hellish and then good and still got booted. 2toGo went, IMO because Emma was losing it. She was out of tune too much over the last two weeks (always did better in the 2nd performances).

VWS, would seem to me, based upon what I've just said to be the next to go. But will they? Cassie started off really well, but is getting nervy.

Steve seems to be gathering confidence. Ro is consistently good and G4 are at the mercy of Pooey Louis, but you can't accuse them of poor singing, the way VWS have been all out of tune.

Tabby - well Tabby does well and I hope he continues to. I think a lot of this depends on his confidence with the song. Now he knows Sharon doesn't really want him to win....will he start to flop?

The only ones I can see remaining consistently popular are Ro and Steve. I think all of the others have lots of factors which may affect their popularity. So yeah, I would agree that Simon's acts seem least likely to go just yet.

We shall seeeeeeee.

Just to say I loved your description of Emma as the dancer from 'Tales of the Unexpected' in that other thread. Fab .

Well I think VWS and G4 will be in the bottom 2, or maybe even Cassie, Simon's 2 contestants and Tabby will be safe.

I thinK VWS should go, but the judges all like them so it could be G4 who are voted out next week.

Sorry westlife is not in the competition.
Apart from that none of Loopies acts has a big enough fan base to be safe. Even G(cos the couldn't get an F in singing)4, has lost alot of his support after that joke effort this week.

Basically, there are three acts that will NO CHANCE be in the bottom two and they are Ro, Steve and Tabby. They are 110% safe.

It's all between Cassie, G4 and VWS.

The bottom three next week will hopefully be tabby...steve...and G4...tabby because he sings like most people snore...steve because he does not have the talent...and G4 because they are a waste of a spot in the top ten...they will never make it big and someone else should have been given a chance - someone who had more than a 5% chance of having a long career in the music industry...

Remember that with the popular acts, it is sometimes taken for granted that they will get through so their fans will not vote as hard or maybe at all. Fans of VWS will be voting their arses off next week (speaking as one) because they were bottom two this week. To be fair to the girls, personally I don't see what everyone is talking about as I thought they gave their performance of the seires last night but Louis Walsh is a terrible manager and switched their song like a day before hand.

But if everything went like people think it will and we have both Louis' groups at the bottom next week, let's have a look at who would vote for who:

Simon would without a doubt vote for G4 to go.

Sharon I think would also vote for G4 to go (not sure though)

and Louis, well that's hard. I think VWS might just be able to beat G4 if they are down there, but i don't think it's a dead cert that they will be like everyone thinks.

Did he now!! Well, isn't that interesting. I'm seriously beginning to believe that Louis is scuppering his own acts deliberately. I'm back to thinking that the whole show is scripted.

Frankly I'm glad he did change it because the arrangement of Amazing Grace they were doing was terrible beyond belief. I have to say I'm really confused by who is in charge of arrangements because the voice coach guy didn't seem impressed with the songs at all, so is it all Louis?

OK, but why did he give them Amazing Grace in the first place (it was always a very strange choice for their voices) and why did he wait until the day before to change the song? I have no idea who's in charge of arrangements, but I'm quite sure there's a lot of deliberate manipulation going on to promote the more commercially promising acts over the others.

I do agree that I think Louis is the most vulnerable now.

However I don't feel that glad about. I think Simon and Louis are both as bad as each other and things are beginning to get out of hand. I don't mind a bit of friendly banter but it seems to be getting personnal.

I just feel sorry for the acts I hope it doesn't harm any of them unneccesarily.

The top 3 I reckon are ....

Rowetta - fantastic voice. you could see her having an album. doesnt copy the song. thats what its all about. no matter which cover you hear, u compare it to the original so if you can play around with it. it shows creativity in her voice.

Steve - exactly the same as Rowetta but better. I wasnt keen on his voice at first but it's grown on me. he does have a soulful voice. and he's modest which is a fantastic attitude.

G4 - interesting. they should stop singing the modern stuff and stick to classics between 60s-80s.

Tabby - he's ok. his singing doesnt wow me. a great rocker but i could see him in a band and not as a solo.

VWS - powerful voices but again dont do anythin for me im afraid. if their voices blended a bit more then great. a couple of seconds of their songs sounded great but as whole .... no

Cassie - great voice for a 17yr old. but needs that maturity in her voice which comes with age. again, doesnt wow me but its pleasant.

there you have it - the only albums i would be interested in are steves or rowetta. G4 should concentrate on opera songs. maybe be a support band for a night with pavorotti. the others - stick to karaoke or some other entertainment venue.

So .... what does this all mean. It means they should make a pop idol show with ages 25-45 or something. better talent

I dont know if anyone else thinks it, but cassie is beginning to remind me of Rosie Ribbons in PI.

She had a beautiful voice (remember she made Pete cry) and was one of the hot favourites (along with GG) to win and get become a big star.
However, during the live shows, she let nerves get the better of her and got progressively worse each week as she lost her confidence. By the end, it was painful to watch.

Its not got to that yet, but I can see Cassie going the same way.

Oh dear! I do remember that, and I remember Rosie's terrible rendition of The Winner Takes It All....I really hope that doesn't happen to Cassie! I really like her!

I think that VWS will go next week...and Cassie will be in the bottom two with them. G4 seem to have a pretty large fanbase.

I have a horrible fear that both you and NewWoman may be right about Cassie - her nerves could endanger her place in the competition. I hope she has a decent sized fanbase but it's very hard to guess. If she goes out before the final three I'll be pretty upset.

I think that if VWS are in the bottom 2 for the third time, they should definitely go. Would it be fair for the judges to keep an act that the public have rejected for the 3rd time. It would be a farce if they were saved again instead of somebody in the bottom 2 for the first time.

I thought Cassie did fine last night and she deserves to make the last 3 at least.
