Corner TV wall mount solutions? HELP!!!!!
Dansky+HD
22-04-2012
Ok

I've posted here before maybe about a year ago ish.

Same problem.

People up and down the country have corner tv stand with millions of cables from sky video PS3 wii Xbox Tv bluray etc.

I need to wall mount my tv
hide cables and have enough shelving for
a Sky+HD Box, PS3, DVD/video Combi & Wii

Is there anything practical out there.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP

A tidy living room media solution will be a godsend.
I'm sounding like such a geek now!!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Dan.

Not a corner solution, but may help

Have you possibly considered, as a compromise solution, a cantilever stand to place in the corner?

or a corner stand

No offense honestly but if I had a flat wall this would be child's play.
Cantilever looks horrible, In my opinion.
Have a stand but want clean looking hidden cable corner off the floor wall mounted.

Can anyone help?

If you don't want it to move then you put a battan across the corner and then screw a standard wall mount to the batton.

Another would be to get a wall mount on a arm. You don't mentioned how big the TV is.

TV currently is 32"

but switching to 40" possibly 42" inch in next few days/weeks.

Want something that looks like its floating

with 2 wide or 3 shelves

with some sort if cable management built in.

May need to design something and patent it .....lol
as all I see is corners cluttered with cables in most households and horrible looking setups.

Flat wall solutions are great and ideal but the average persons house is in my experience a tv in the corner of the living room.

Still hoping there is something out there though!

It shouldn't be floating up too high, the display should be at seated eye level...making any floating shelving below kinda close to the floor...

Ebay have lots of corner mounts for plasmas. YouTube have lots of vids to show how to hide wires.

Could a 3rd shelf be used with that does anyone think.

Need to hold TV, Sky Box, PS3, DVD/Video Combi & Wii.

Possible?

Hah, well anything that doesn't fit can always be epoxied to the underside of the bottom shelf

Video Loosing and updating that to something slim would help you fit it all on.
How offten do you play .. videos...

Maybe you should update your equipment to match the sleek look instead of the other way around.
As DIY is not your forte, get someone in to do it for you. Plenty of AV shops around that do installs.

I don't think there's much point in the OP spending much money on a decent tv because no matter how good the picture quality is they'll always be more concerned with how the tv looks in it's surroundings.
