BBM over WiFi abroad
We are going away to turkey in few weeks, my wife has a blackberry torch, i will turn data roaming off before i go.
Will bbm still work with the free wifi in the hotel, and i dont think there will be any extra charges is that correct... thanx |

It should work exactly the same as it would here. Just make sure you log in to the hotels WiFi hotspot when you get there.
There will be no data charges as long as you're using the WiFi. In any case, BBM uses tiny amounts of data. |

You cannot use BBM without a BlackBerry tarriff so Wi-Fi only would not work. Data has to be enabled.

I was in the US back in Feb and had free wi-fi in my villa, BBM worked fine on my torch 9800.
Remember to turn off your "data while roaming" setting if not wanting to pay for BBM via roaming. I even got my blackberry to connect to orange UMA twice while on the wi fi while in the US so could call the UK for free, but this is normally blocked when out of the uk.
