So who do we think Amy's familiar face is?

Minty = recast Billy.

Right, stupidly, I have to leave the party and go to work.

So I'll just leave this here.

Keep on groovin' with your boy, Emmett.

Well, since it's Ste, I'm not so hopeful he would think Brendan was actually changing. He dunt think he can, remember.

Brendan would play barbies with him if he asked, that's how much he loves the boy.

Loui Batley back as Sarah the ghost? Wouldn't surprise me the way this show is going.

Please Tony Hirst...

My first though was Alex Carter actually.

I'm not here, but this, yes. Jumped out at me. Ste's a plot device in someone else's story. Again. Poor ole Ste.

Barnesy! That would be great. Can't see Corrie agreeing to it, though. I hope it's not her mad mother.

Yeah it's quite saddening that people were angry Doug would be a plot device in the Ste/Brendan stuff, when really, it's Ste being a plot device with Doug.

So where's Ste's storyline, ES? Or have you already shown us that he's a character in his own right and that's all we're getting?

Lets not change the habit of a lifetime. We saw the depth he got last night. All 20 seconds and a "Do it" cookie.

Awww.

"Hoi Barbie, d'ye loike moi dreamhouse?"

"Hiyerrrrrrrr Ken. Luvvvv it, me."

Oh f*ck. Then playing with dolls is so cute. They can pretend they're putting on a performance for Leah a la Alfie and Roxy.

Oooooooooooooh.

If it's Loui Batley, in any form, I'm done.

But I'm intrigued. I think Tony would be too busy with Corrie, but you never know.

Alex would be a shock!

BIB - I know. On the plus side, Emmett will play it so well.

Ha, exactly. Poor Ste. If they give his writing as much depth as they did last night, I can't say I'm hopeful.

Part of me thinks they'll at least have to write his perspective since he's dating then dumping Adam. But that just reminds me how bizarre it feels that they're having Ste choose between two men, neither of which are Brendan. How depressing.

And they can both cheer for their uncle Brendan.

I know you didn't see it last night but it was really telling that Amy said to Ste "When have you had a conversation with someone that isn't about the kids? Or about olives for the deli?" well putting him with Doug has only gone and narrowed his tiny collection of friends AGAIN! I just wanted him to have a male friend and have the business as a separate thing but no, now everything will be about his (Doug's) love life.

Oh, lovely. It's been a while since I've seen that.

I need Brendan and Ste to keep metaphorically dancing with each other. Inbetween Brendan and his devils, of course.

Oh, it's just a given that Ste is prone to sympathetically fall for anyone back because he's such a needy love slut. No need to go into it any

God, I want Amy and Dodger to be falling in love out of this sooooo bad!

It does feel like they've given us two months of Ste being his own man, and acting realistically, then the minute any sort of bigger plot starts, Plot!Device!Ste pops out.

And you'd think a Brendan reference would kill them.

As someone (you?) said last night, I'd even take a Noah reference at this point. Anything that just contextualizes Ste's actions and helps us see in his head.

Oh even bloody Amy knows.

Aw. It's quite sad, actually, that they've taken away his only male friend. I never really looked at it like that before, and his and Doug's friendship really was something. And now they've even taken that off him, so now all he has is the deli, the kids, Doug and Amy. Like before, all he had was the club, the kids, Brendan (Noah) and Amy.

Jesus HOs. That's terrible.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww. That is adorable.

Yeah except unlike Alfie and Roxy () Brendan and Ste will get it on at the end of it. They can role play.

Nah we'll probably just see sad eyed Doug watching their date from afar

I know, right?

We obviously knew Amy was going to push him to try Internet dating from the spoilers, so they'd have some sort of conversation, and I didn't even bother posting that I hoped one of them would mention Brendan so we could hear a little of how Ste feels, because they're so incapable of writing that. We've seen it time and time again.

And I used to think Doug would become someone Ste could confide in about Brendan, but that's obviously not going to happen now. It just feels sloppy and such a disservice to Ste's character, and to Kieron.

Nope, that wasn't me.

Yes, I'm quite gutted they've taken away his only male friend. And that line last night was so jarring, anyway, really. Cos now he's combining work and his romantic life. It's all tied up together. Maybe they can discuss olives when they're shagging.

BIB: Awwwwwwwwwwww. Oh good Lord, awwwww.

Brendan would blush and a tad, then they'd make them kiss.

I'm really annoyed that Ste and Doug aren't going to get into a relationship quicker...I don't want this to take weeks..the sooner it starts the sooner it'll finish..hopefully

I don't want Brendan coming across as the bad man getting in the way of the happy couple either

ETA: Oh and I'm really happy about the Amy and Dodger spoiler..I think I ship them..

Ste being a plot device shouldn't really surprise me anymore, really, especially not after January.

And then everyone would be happy.

Until Amy walked in and started shouting her mouth off at them both.

I can see it now. Meanwhile, oblivious Ste makes a fool of himself whilst on his date.

ETA: LOL at discussing olives whilst shagging. Sexy.
