Thats exactly what I thought, that Ste is basically a plot device for Dougs storyline again when iIread the mags but then I thought both interviews were from Dougs perspective so hopefully at some point they will show something of whats Stes thinking through this. Im not hopeful but you cant really tell from those interviews really as they were totally from Dougs perspective.

First of all, my Dodgamy! I'm so pleased. Hopefully she'll ditch Ally and he'll stop being involved in the triangle of chemistryless doom, and they'll end up together.

From the soap mag spoilers it really sounds like this is Doug's story, not Ste's. Which is good in a way, as this is about the change to Doug's character, so it should focus on him. But it's a shame that it seems like Ste's going to be sidelined again. I'm looking forward to seeing the scans anyway, to see what it looks like.

And I did love the hint of what will happen when Brendan finds out...

I actually don't see the Stug relationship being dragged out at all now, misssd. The sooner it happens, that's just more time it'll have lasted.
I'm sure Doug will think he's getting what he wants when Ste picks him over Brendan, and he might think it's real and that's he's (they're) happy for a bit too, but Doug's a perceptive one and I hope he sort of takes a step back when he sees how much in a lot of ways Ste still can't move on from Brendan with him, and realizes that Ste needs him as a friend and not a boyfriend, and that Doug will feel alright with it because he can still love Ste as much as he does and it truly doesn't matter after all whether it's romantic or not.

I think it's her natural hair - it's just been that long since we've seen her properly!

For that, Iclabon, they'd have to show how Ste was feeling, and there's no way in hell they're about to do that.

Exactly. See, if even you don't like it, then we know they're doing something wrong! It's funny how people were thinking that Doug was a sidenote in all this, a pawn in Ste's story. Now it seems to be the opposite. The spoilers haven't made me give up hope, though. It's more the state of the show at the moment. I could deal with Ste with a new guy if it was actually going to be written well.

It confuses me a bit, really, why they chose Ste and Doug to do this story with. Most likely for the drama it's going to cause. But drama is not necessarily good drama when it's written rubbishly! They should've had Doug lust over a new character or something that he'd just met, rather than Ste, cos they both deserve a story of their own - that is about them, and not a story that turns them into a bit-part character.

Oh it's annoyed me so much. Nowt is written well these days, Ready. Especially not where Ste is concerned.
