Can anyone recommend a case to fit my Kindle Touch. I didn't realise that the touch version is slightly larger than the previous version.

Depends on how much you want to pay and what kind of case you are looking for – do you want one that just protects it and you take it out for use? A soft or hard case?

Sorry for being so vague. I'm looking for a real leather or leather look book style case with a latch type thingy so that it doesn't open while in my handbag. I don't like the ones which cover all the way around the edge of the screen. I prefer the ones which hold the kindle in place with elastic on each of the four corners. I'm willing to pay up to £25. I went to Currys yesterday and was told by the sales assistant that the Belkin Verve Tab Folio case fitted the Kindle Touch, but when I tried it on my kindle in the shop it was too small. I know I may sound fussy, but in my head I know what I want. I just haven't found it yet!

I have looked on Amazon but I'm a little weary as the ones I like say that the are suitable for both kindles. I hate having to go through the hassle of having to return things if they are unsuitable.

Amazon recommend this one:

A bit above your budget though - I think as it's just out in the UK it may take a few weeks for companies to catch up - you could check stores in the US as the Touch has been out there a while.

Argos are getting the Touch in tomorrow so may be worth checking the website to see if they are getting cases in at the same time.

The official Amazon one. It's overpriced and not proper leather but I like it. The most popular complaints about it are lack of a strap to keep it closed and that it scratches easy. But the problem with a lot of the cheapo covers are that the dye off the material leaks onto the back of the Kindle and leaves it covered in black stains, so if you do find one on Amazon I'd wait a while for the reviews to come in and see whether this has been fixed for the Touch covers, or look for one with a similar inside to the Amazon ones (plastic).

Thanks Alan. I did look at the Amazon ones but I'm sticking to my budget. I'll give Argos a go over the next few days. Yes, I think you're right it may take a few weeks for UK companies to catch up.

Yes, I did notice the lack of reviews on some of the cases which prevented me from placing an order. I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait a bit longer for what I really want.

Check this out, may b you will find out that you are looking for.

some of my friends said they have some problem. Like if they don't lock the screen front of the case will change your page. I don't know much about it, but has anyone face this problem ?

Don't forget a lot of the cheap covers permanently damage the back of the Kindle because of the dye leaking onto it so check what the inside is made of first.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I have decided to go for one from Amazon, it only has two reviews, hopefully it'll be ok. I can always return it if I don't like it. It also comes with a one year guarantee which covers manufacturers faults and defects.

Just to update you all, I have now had the LuvTab Kindle touch case (I went for the purple one in the end ) for about a month and so far so good. Great value for money, I would definitely recommend this case. Also, there have been no problems with the dye rubbing off on the Kindle.
