Just a general discussion on whether or not you like Cheryl Cole's (or Cheryl's) new single. I personally love it but what do you think?

yeah its good. though im pretty bored of it already, so its quite disposable, though i would say its better than anything on her messy drops album, which was simply dreadful.
but not quite up to the standard of anything on her first album, which i thought was great.

It's nothing special for a lead single. I'd give it a 6/10

Not really keen. I think it's generic and throwaway. In saying that, it'll probably be #1

I'm not too keen on it,
Maybe it'll grow on me

I like the song but her vocals sound weak on it. Think its her weakest vocals on any song shes released.

I love the song, it's very catchy and I think Calvin Harris' production is great. Not as good as Promise This though

I agree. Her vocals are the only issue really. Catchy lyrics, great production, but bland vocals. Sure it will do well though.

The only thing I love about it is Calvin Harris, he hasn't failed to deliver once yet. The vocalist is not great at all though.

I was underwhelmed by it to begin with, but after a few listens I thought it was brilliant and couldn't I couldn't stop repeating it.

'tis nice It'll be a huge hit and might be at #1 for a month. She'll go global too and will be successful. Mark my words.

Haha this. I was unfortunate enough to hear it on the radio at work the other night - after I'd stopping laughing my arse off at the high notes which clearly aren't her, I realised it's not too bad, prob be big in the clubs and a number 1. But I personally didn't like it. Only song I've not hated of hers is Parachute.

Its pretty average to me, it just lacks something to make it good and the chorus isnt strong enough.

I honestly thought it was a new Steps single when I first heard it on the radio before recognising Cheryl's voice. I like it though. It's about bloody time she came out with something after X Factor.

It's alright. Calvin Harris's production is really good but the vocals are week. I bet it'll get No 1 though.

I like it... but it took me a few listens to decide that. I didn't like it at all at first, but around an hour after I heard it I had the hook in my head, so I listened again, and thought it wasn't that bad.

The one issue, and I must stress that I have no issue with popstar vocal abilities, is that the obviously high level of autotune makes it seem like she can't sing. A portion of modern pop songs do go for an "autotune as art" element (Britney, Kesha, Katy, Rihanna) on dancier songs, but this seems excessive and isn't helping her against the people who question her talent.

6.5/10, at the moment, it might increase a little once the video arrives.

I think it should be

"Calvin Harris ft Cheryl Cole"..... she certainly doesn't deserve top billing on this.

Nope, it's extremely generically dull. Just another half-hearted cash-in on the current 'dance' craze. She's better sticking to pure pop, at least with her previous albums she stood out in regards of being one of the only traditional pop artists around.

I like the song and its becomin gone of my favourites of Cheryls, Great production and her vocals are quite good actully not the best but she knows her style and thats the main thing

Meh, it's OK. The verses are boring but the chorus is memorable.
