Also, did anyone else love Maggie's bit where she said there would be no hanky-panky in her boarding house...not in the kids rooms at least! Really made me smile!

I think it should've ended with the Chalkster taking the photo and Grantly and Maggie getting engaged.
Tom's one of the nicest teacher's too.

Just watched it tonight and I thought it was excellent. Wasn't dissapointed at all.

Cast members moving on without much notice or sendoff is just part of watching imo. We'll find the new lot very much settled into their new school and home when we meet them next.

Spoiler

I know not many if any will agree but I think Michael has been a great character for the show. He has his faults but it's great to see a that he genuinley cares about the kids. I know others have before him but it's been really fun to see

I'd rather have Rachel back then if we're doing away with Michael.

He's confirmed to be back for series 8 so I wouldn't worry

He's grown on me a bit during this section of series 7, but he's still no Rachel Mason. Rather him than Karen though, she did my head in.

This isn't the END of Waterloo Road it just happens to be a relocation so they treated it like any other series finale where the kids leave. That is what I believe the Producers want us to feel.

But for us loyal fans that have watched EVERY episode set in Rochdale, that location has soo many memories for us. I was watching this since I was in about Year 9!

Yes I believe the crash will be forgotten about and it won't keep referring to old storylines set in ROchdale, it is a fresh start but the same show.

Rose Kelly has lost a child to Cancer, an horrific death and another in Prison for a very long time! Poor woman!

Grantly is still in love with FLuer but is trying to live his life. Alzhemiers sufferers lose their personality, Grantly lost her years ago so I don't find it too odd he could love Maggie in a different way to Fluer. I think it is compaionship they both want.

Denzil is the only one to die? How pointless, Chalky was the one right in front of it!

Michael would be soo traumtised it is untrue!

Stabbed
Taunted by his attacker
Stalked
Run over by a car
Breaking up numerous gangs fights with the chance of yet again being stabbed
A truck nearly killing him and one of his pupils dying in front of him

I mean come on... he'd be a wreck of a man!

well what about Poor Josh

he had acid in the eye in series 5 i believe, but this series has been one big attack on poor Josh:

Had a mini breakdown and cut his arm > was diagnosed with Schizophrenia > went off his tablets and has a big breakdown and hurt his arm > came back and got into a fight with Eugene and his crew > was kidnapped and almost thrown off a building by Eugene > got an arrow in the arm saving his mate > possibly hit by a lorry ... jeez, poor kid!

I say bring back Jack Rimmer/Kim Campbell/Andrew Treneman and Denise Welch. Then no one will care that the school has moved.

Byrne is an unsung hero despite being in charge when the school finally closed

LOL true . I wonder who will become the new punchbag of Waterloo Road now that Finn has left .

Haha yeah, me too. That's why I was all the more disappointed with their lack of a proper final goodbye at the end. Who knows maybe they will get their own spinoff mini-show like Bolton and his friends did?

Haha! same as me . But I liked the whole of Series 7 (except for the last two episodes which I thought weren't up to scratch and the final ep was rushed). Let's see what they got in store for us in Series 8 ...

I thought I'd heard that she was coming back but now that Sian has said that she and Zak are moving in with their Mum I'm don't think that she is.

Oh okay. Thanks, edudzio. Makes sense why she blew off Tariq at the Prom then lol. If she was staying, I'm sure she would've agreed to dance with him and they would've gone to Scotland together. Kind of a pitiful final episode for her, she barely had any scenes . Not that I cared much for the character.

I'm gonna miss Finn "Sex-on-legs" Sharky like mad, he was the fittest male pupil by a long shot! They better find someone fit to replace him. Although, there is something about Josh that makes me like his appearance-think it must be the curls!
