I wonder what their (UK police) objectives are to do this documentary at this time.
What are they trying to achieve? To put pressure on the Portuguese police to open the case again? |

It's coming up to the anniversary of whatever happened to little Madeleine, so I've no doubt this won't be the last we hear of the McCanns in the next few days.
There were so many legal actions flying around, I'm not surprised DS closed the threads. |

Presumably you approve of the regular policy of the British police to arrest any parents of a child who has died and hold them in custody for a day or so? |

Entertaining! I watched the first one but don't know who the presenter is but he put me right off the series.

I think a lot of the sympathy is because of the incompetent handling of the investigation by the Portuguese authorities but that is what you get when you go to a Third World country. |

2 million pound has been spent to review this case the tax payer is paying it. The case was REOPENED last year in MAY. 1 year ago. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ann-files.html So far nothing zilch, nadar. So perhaps the Portugese Police did do their job properly after all. What happened about the sighting 2 weeks ago.... Poor child is gone. Even if i walked passed her in the street at 8 going on 9 years old there is no way i would recognise her. This case is sad but there are so many other missing kids out there. Personally i dont think we will ever find her dead or alive sadly. Poor little baby.

There was absolutely no reason for our money to be used to open reopen this case. Portugal is a member of the European Union with a recognised justice system, they closed they case and that they clearly knew what they were doing. This all thing smacks of xenophobia. |

Yeah. I know what abandon means otherwise I wouldn't have used it. Perhaps you can think of a better word for leaving your children alone and unattended so you can go out with friends? |

Just polygraph the damn Parents already and put this one to bed. If they have nothing to hide then there's no reasoning for objections by their part.
It doesn't necessarily make them suspects for doing so, but rules out future lines of investigation and all this tic-for-tat. |

The abductor has put photos up on the net of her? Her abductor is letting her out to wander around? ********************** As for the McCanns having special status - it's more to do with them willing to sue people who say things about them. ***************************** Quote:
http://www.nspcc.org.uk/help-and-adv..._wda72908.html I'll say nothing more as I really can't be bothered. The sooner the parents come to terms with the most likely fact that their daughter who they left unattended is most likely dead the sooner they can move on... |

I take it that the documentary was originally titled 'A New Hope' but then people would think Star Wars was on.
