Cost of Comics
I am new to the whole comic book thing but I look at some US websites and they seem relativley good value but i'm not sure where to be looking at getting them in this country is on-line odering better than a shop? what is the cost of a comic (marvel or DC for example) in the UK.
Thanks for any help you can give. |

Thaks for the website looks good, any advice on where to start and what to read? I like the look of the marvel comics because of all the hype of the films but I don't want to be blinkered if anyone else can recommend some good reads also how do you know if you are starting a story from the beginning or reading from the middle of a story arc?
Sorry for all the newbie questions. |

There are very few "beginnings" of stories anymore. If you like Marvel, it might be worth picking up some of the Ultimate Spider-Man or Ultimates (v1 and forwards) trade paperbacks. The Ultimate universe was created specifically as a jumping-on point for new readers, and the new movies and TV shows are heavily influenced by those particular incarnations of the characters.

Pretty much the same happened with DC's "The New 52" last year |

If you have an iPad or iphone look into downloading comics through the comixology app. They often have sales so it`s easy to dip into.
