Absolutely LOVE this song, am thinking it may be on course to overtaking All Night Long as my favourite Alex single. Glad they put this as the second single to hopefully give her project a bigger momentum. Also am loving the video - am I the only one thinking that we are finally seeing ALEX in this video? The hair - on point (I have been dying for her to rock the middle parting mermaid length); the styling - SO much better, and her personality really shines through. Even though some might say that the choreography's been cut out too much, I like the relaxed nature of it all. It finally feels as though she's not trying to force something she's not, and this is the way she should keep it going.
As for the twitter hate... twitter really needs to die! I don't think it's constructive for artists to be on it, even for promo reasons, as it gives the haters too much ammo to talk smack behind a computer screen. Having said that, if you look at the comments for the Let it Go video on VEVO, the positive at the moment seem to outweigh the negative. I don't have a twitter account so can't defend Alex on that medium, but I do write a supportive comment every now again under her videos so her fans we can argue are dispersed in the same way.
It sucks that she is not getting supported the right way by her management/ media outlets in the UK, and I'm even beginning to wonder whether she'll be the global star I am gagging for her to be. However, in all fairness, Alex has nothing to prove to noone. Her talent speaks for itself, which can't be said for many people in the game these days (Rita Ora, wtf?! Useless chick.) She will be put down for may reasons and I'm not going to be all political and suggest why because I think most of us know *coughs*. But she should keep going and doing what she loves, as long as she continues to get better and make better choices regarding her styling/ song choices, she'll get the credit she deserves one day. And even if she doesn't, those who hate her deep down know they're just hating... and half of them will always be disguised behind a computer screen because that's all they know how to do. Good for them. I'd rather have the talent of Alex than the snide bitterness of an internet troll anyday, and I'm sure she'd say the same for herself.
