Well they were non-stories really, but it seems you liked the photos, so who am I to argue? Must have been a slow news day though if there were three stories online

True, they could have consolidated all their "stories" into one simple "story"

Have I missed much while I've been away? When I was last around 30 days was just coming out/had just come out.

Was there a new album, or did I dream that bit?

You sound like an Ocean Finance advert! "consolidate all your debts into one affordable monthly repayment" I don't think there's a new album any time soon. They're in the US at the moment and I don't know when their new single is coming out.

Did Frankie have a boob job?

There is a part of me that thinks that maybe she just has a little more meat on her bones, but I'm not sure.

Releasing What About Us as their 1st US single is a big mistake. It won't do anything over there and it isn't going to make people sit up and take notice of them. I'm surprised Def Jam think it's the right song to debut with over there. It isn't defining or strong enough. Meh, they won't have much success out there now releasing it as their debut. It doesn't scream nor sound like it will be a global/international/American hit. It sounds weak, cheap and basic. I'm disappointed with the remixes... the vocals won't alter much in the studio version so I really don't like overproduction of their vocals, they sound too robotic and lifeless. There's no oomph or character... and the robotic 'na na na na' sound terrible compared to the live version. Hope they don't start getting their hopes up because I don't think it's going to work out now. Surely they know it won't do much?? It could be sung by anyone. It doesn't say anything about them or make a statement like Spice Girls' Wannabe etc. The video better be fantastic, although it probably will just be the same format as most of their previous' videos... pose/walk/pose/walk, without any interesting events or storylines. Horrible feeling this whole campaign will be a nightmare.

They've only got a certain amount of time before Little Mix are in the US (probably middle of next year) so they're buggered as they probably won't have a 2nd single out in the US by the time they go over, same with Stooshe... but even then you don't get many chances in the US and they're going to blow their biggest chance with What About Us. So frustrated by them and their team.

They really need to step it up with their new material now and be more creative or they really are finished because at the moment, they're really not standing up to the higher quality, more innovative and exciting music and image/style of Little Mix and Stooshe (and inevitably Girls Aloud and MKS). It's kind of embarrassing that Little Mix and Stooshe have only been around a year or so and already their music is on point, both have their own identity, they're consistent but good and they're hitting their stride whereas The Sats still haven't... after four//five years. The girls started off so well with Chasing Lights - it was different, it was intrinsically 'them' but still with a pop feel but since then they've just descended into generic, faceless stuff that doesn't say anything about them. It's a shame, they have so much potential but they never bloody realise it.

Diane Warren's written three songs for them... hopefully they're incredible. I hope they work with some other renowned producers/writers. They do need to do acoustic sets when doing promo out there to prove they can sing.

Who knows? Seems like yet another DM non-story to me. Is that what passes for news these days? Oh dear...

I don't know to be honest. If she's had work done then she went to a good surgeon. If it turns out to be true I'm glad that she didn't go over the top and had small implants that fit her frame.

As you may have known, it was Una's birthday on Wednesday. Unfortunately it was my worst day in my job for 2 years and it even affected how the rest of the week there panned out. I know this was my own fault. I should have booked Una's birthday off work.

Not surprisingly, Work is my worst Saturdays' single by a wider margin than before.

How would you have spent the day if you had taken it off work? I don't think Work is a bad song but it should have been their debut single. It was released too late and many fans already had the album with it on. Of course MJ's death didn't help either.

Among other things I'd have listened to Chasing Lights and other Saturdays' music, and caught up with a few bits and pieces. In practice, I have a mild liking of too many celebs to have all their birthdays off. As the type of work I do is unsuitable for Jubilee Bank Holidays I was excused from working on Mollie's birthday. I did work Frankie's birthday even though it was a Saturday!

I always liked Work, it's one of my favourites from Chasing Lights.

I've been watching some of their live performances on Youtube.

Does anyone know what's happening with 30 Days? I'd totally forgotten about it. Is it a stand alone single or is it on the next album? Are the releasing a new album or repackaging On Your Radar?

I've heard nothing about the next album, but I think they're recording a new one at the moment. I've heard nothing about a re-release of On Your Radar. I really don't know why they released 30 Days. I hope their next album will be more successful. Perhaps they need to do what Katy Perry did with Teenage Dream and release about 5 or 6 singles from their next album and keep the album campaign going for maybe 2 years.

^ That's quite a lot of videos. Never realised they had so many! I'm just thinking which college year 30 Days fits into. I guess it would fit into my repeat final year (last year) as it came out near the end of that year.

I sell insurance over the phone, but by offering quotes to potential customers rather than through a customer service department. I felt it would be antisocial to interrupt people with phonecalls on Jubilee Bank Holidays and thus booked the days off, before they decided we would stay closed then anyway.

Earlier this year a colleague left who had once sang part of Issues!

Interesting. Are you an insurance agent or broker? I did Insurance Law last year. I take it singing isn't allowed in your workplace?
