Interesting. Are you an insurance agent or broker? I did Insurance Law last year. I take it singing isn't allowed in your workplace?
An agent really. What insurance did you learn about? I have sold home and pet insurance and been told that motor insurance is hard. There was an entertaining brief karaoke one breaktime earlier this week!

We learned the laws of insurance and insurance contracts. Riveting stuff really Still have my book and everything. We also learned about the different types of insurance and some very interesting, but bizarre, cases.

The Saturdays Discography 2008-2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGPGl2oy-Ms

Good video where it has conbined all The Sats songs from If This Is Love to 30 Days into one video.

Watching it they have had a lot of good songs, Higher and All Fired Up are my favourites though. Even though 30 Days is generic as, I am drawn to that aswell haha.

^ I really love that video. I agree 30 Days is generic though Turn Myself In (the B-side) is actually much better and should have been released as a single instead.

I saw a trailer for the new series of Surprise Surprise and the saturdays are appearing at some point. Not sure which episode though.

I didn't watch it but as it was on ITV1 I guess it would be on the ITV Player. http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=326862

That's interesting. It's still not for sale on iTunes (at least on the Irish store it isn't - haven't checked the UK one). Hasn't been now since mid 2010 I think.

Talking of Saturdays' Appreciation, I appreciated last Saturday, 27th October, because we got an extra hour!

I needed some humour to compensate for the lack of a new classic Autumn Saturdays single this year.

It has to be said, I haven't been that impressed with recent material. The song that's used in the background of their US reality show trailer isn't that good, in my opinion (I can't even remember the title).

I'm listening to Wordshaker at the moment. This is the kind of Saturdays that I like. I know the whole "bigger sound" thing is what is selling, but it doesn't seem to working for them either.

I also don't like that they're becoming a brand over a girl group. A US reality show...really? Why not just release music over there?

I think it's called What About Us. I hope they do well in the US but they should have focused on doing better in the UK first. Their last album didn't sell that well IIRC.

News Roundup:

So apparently this is a demo for the saturdays (new b-side to what about us, or new album material?) either way I really like it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwZBW50EBUQ

Plus the sats played their first ever headlining gig at the roxy theatre two days ago! I've watched the whole set.. and i have to say.. although nessa will never be at her best.. she's improved so so much! I haven't found the exact set list.. but i can remember them singing these songs.. (not in this order though)

Notorious
All Fired Up
MHTO
Up
30 Days
Get Ready Get Set
Work
Forever is Over
What about Us
Issues (acoustic)
Chasing Lights!!!!! (acoustic)
Higher
Ego

and im sure there's a couple more!

oh, and one shot!

Whole show:

Part 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGdkZ...eature=related
Part 2:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlOgY...feature=relmfu
Part 3:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xg7c...feature=relmfu
Part 4:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5fJC...feature=relmfu
Part 5:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dxv7U...feature=relmfu
Part 6:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-S_6...feature=relmfu

In part 6, check out 5:45 onwards. Mollie seems a bit ''surprised'' at the confetti and it all goes to poop hahaha.

Seems their management are toning back the dance moves, and are having them interact with eachother more. Which is good because it involves less hair flicking.. and more personality which their performances have always lacked!

Looking good!

I really like the new song demo! Still sounds great even if it is a B-side. Their B-sides are usually great. I can''t wait to hear the studio version.

oh, here's a trailer for ''chasing the saturdays''

officially the worst trailer.. EVER?

BUT we get to hear the studio version of ''What about Us'' - Those ''Na Na Na'' bits are autotuned.. but not as bad as i was expecting.

Watched the roxy show and was quite impressed! It does seem like they've toned down the dancing but that might be because Frankie wasn't there and they would have too many changes etc. I loved the setlist and I'm so glad Vanessa voice is coming back, still not her best but the best I've heard since the headlines era and its great she's got it back in time for their US debut!

I'm really hoping it's not just because Frankie's not there. It's so nice to see chemistry on stage! People don't know what lovely/funny girls they are and it'd be nice for them to get genuine recognition rather than them being deemed 'talentless puppets'

I'm not sure what to make of What About Us. It sounds good but from what I've heard I don't think it's All Fired Up part 2. When do we get to hear the full version of it?

I had some brilliant news yesterday. As part of my insurance sales job, I sold a policy to a lady called ... wait for it .... Rochelle!! I know it was not Rochelle Wiseman but I got quite a buzz out of bringing the name Rochelle into the conversation. I never actually digressed and mentioned the Saturdays (the customer probably gets it all the time anyway), but I was delighted by one of my Saturday sales being to a Rochelle!
