Right...I know that I've criticised this album a bit in places but I've been listening to it a lot this week and I do think that it's solid. It ranks third in my Saturdays favourites.

1. Chasing Lights
2. Wordshaker
3. Living For The Weekend
4. Headlines
5. On Your Radar

I'm looking forward to playing this album in my car when I have a CD player. At the moment (despite being a 2002 car) I have a cassette and the radio.
I'd rank them fairly similar, except I usually count Wordshaker/Headlines as one album as Headlines was really an EP with some Wordshaker songs on it. I don't count it as a full album. I hardly ever listen to On Your Radar these days even though I loved it when it came out first. Annoying that it came out when I was repeating my final year of my undergrad Headlines would have been more appropriate but that would have been better for repeating my second year. A cassette player? How 90s! I left cassettes behind in the tech scrapheap with VHS and Windows 98

About time they were on a top TV show. Well done to The Saturdays for getting this chance. They have earned it

I caught up with the results show this morning. I'm a little confused as to why they performed What About Us despite the fact that Disco Love is the current single? Doesn't seem like a smart move, really.

The Saturdays get everywhere! There has just been a Hollyoaks storyline where a boy Tom was kidnapped, and dug a hole behind a Saturdays poster to make his escape!

Didn't enjoy the strictly performance, not as strong vocally as some of the other WAU performances, and Frankie and Mollie were clearly lip-synching which I just don't get, if the others are singing live then why can't they? Frankie is capable and Mollie has really improved.

Maybe, they wanted to perform their biggest hit so far, on a very popular show? It makes sense to me.

Yes, they should all be singing live. Frankie and Mollie may be the weakest singers in the groupp, but there is no excuse to mime.

They are current, this is why. Nice to see Hollyoaks promoting them.

Although everyone is mentioning Christmas, I thought I would look ahead to Easter instead! On Easter Monday I am due to decide my top 40 songs from April 2004 to March 2014. It will feature Issues, unless music in the next 3 months smashes all records (no pun intended!), and I wonder whether it will feature any other Saturdays songs too?

According to another thread and Wikipedia (not the most reliable of sources, I know) "Not Giving Up" is the next single.

Yes I noticed this instantly. They should all be singing live.

I personally think 'The Problem with Love', would be a much better option than 'Not giving up' 'Not giving up' is too similar to 'All Fired Up', which is a lazy option.

I love both songs but I still think Not Giving Up would be a massive spring/summer hit. All Fired Up is one of their best singles IMO.

Unfortunately the saying "this ship has sailed" comes to mind with Not Giving Up, the fact they were sitting on this song for so long and picked Gentlemen and Disco love as singles over it makes me finally fully realise the fact that whoever makes the single choices has no idea what they're doing and so far has just gotten lucky with the hits.

They would be a much bigger name right now if they had picked this as the single line-up:

1. What About Us
2. Not Giving Up

ALBUM RELEASE

3. Leave a Light On
4. Somebody Else's Life/Wildfire

It's been very quiet on the album front, hasn't it?

Mollie is currently in LA whilst Una is taking part in ITV's "Splash" and Rochelle is in the Maldives.

It seems that they are branching out into other areas so that they have something to fall back on. That's not really a very good sign for the future of the group. Rochelle has been presenting a lot lately along with a slot on a panel show, for example.

I don't know what's taking them so long to release NGU. My only thought is that they are waiting for Frankie to reunite with them so that they are all together again before shooting a music video. Either way, it seems that they've left it too late.

I like "Leave A Light On", it has a real winter feel to it. "Somebody Else's Life" and "Wildfire" sound like they could be released during the summer.

When a group does start doing their own thing, this does show a sign of a group splitting. I hope I am wrong, but The Saturdays have reached the time a girl group can normally last. After five years in a band, it is normal for band members to go their own way and do their own things.

I do think now is the time, The Saturday fans should expect news of a split, or a break. I do not think them splitting would actually be a bad thing for group members, because it gives them a chance to do their own thing. The Saturdays fans may be disappointed if the group split, or have a break, but at the end of the day, artists need breaks and time to themselves. Five years of music from The Saturdays is better than nothing.

I just got the latest Saturdays mailer and they mention details of a new single will be released soon, so they're obviously not giving up () just yet! They also say they're going on tour.

Well, this is good news, but when is the release? I would have preferred 'The Problem with Love', but 'Not Giving up' is still a good song

Whatever happend to them going to tour in America? Was this just a rumour? I thought they were going back to tour?

The mailer didn't say exactly when it was gonna be released but they said they'll be sending out another mailer to reveal the details of the next single. They also said they were announcing tour dates but they haven't said where yet. I have a feeling it'll be another UK tour but I won't know 'til the next mailer arrives. Once I get it I will duly report back

Yes they did mention a new single, they also asked "can you guess what it is?"
Which means it's definitely a song from the latest album or we wouldn't have a hope in guessing.
I'd love to go to their tour, I'm just a bit worried that it won't sell out and they will be humiliated, they've not got the biggest fanbase. They will have to do some massive promo for the single and the tour.

My guess is that it's Not Giving Up, but who knows? Guess we're just gonna have to wait 'til the next mailer to find out. Does anyone else here get the Saturdays mailer or am I the only one?

I think that it will be Not Giving Up too. I'd like Leave A Light On to be released at some point.

Thank You. I personally do not really think it is a big deal if they do not tour America. It would be a bonus to see them do well over another country, but as long as they are doing well in the UK, this is what should matter.

The single release must not be too far away then. I cannot wait.
