If you're awake and don't know what to watch on TV, Frankie is on Sunday Brunch this morning.

I'd really like a new album from the girls sometime this year, I know Una said they are focusing on their own activities this year and I know Frankie is pregnant so it probably wouldn't be worth them coming back together yet.
But I am in desperate need of some new Saturdays bops, I always look forward to their singles and then the music video and the inevitable 2 month wait afterwards for it to actually be released, I miss them.

Frankie was very coy about new music. She said that they are hoping to get back into the studio in the new year.

It's not looking like new music will be released this year.

I think they need a break to be honest. I like The Saturdays, but the last two releases, 'Not Giving Up' and 'What Are You Waiting For', were not that great to be honest. These songs were the weakest The Saturdays have ever released. It just came across like The Saturdays ended up rushing to get a song released for the sake of it, with these songs.

Hopefully if and when The Saturdays do return, they release far better songs than the last two releases. I want them to come back with their best songs like 'What About Us', etc, not the likes of the songs I have mentioned above.

Not Giving Up is one of their best songs, how someone can say it isn't boggles my mind.

Matter of taste.

Agreed, I loved it. Up there with Higher and What About Us for sure.

Three members planning solo careers

I'm surprised at the prospect of Mollie having a solo career as she has the weakest voice, in my opinion. In saying that, so did Cheryl Cole and that didn't stop her, though she had the X Factor promotion to thank for it.

Thoughts on this?

Frankie is apparently the most popular and known member, so cannot see any of the above three being successful in the charts. I might be wrong and do hope Vanessa has a successful career, because I think she has an amazing voice.

I've been a Saturdays fan since the beginning (as you guys probably all know!) but I do think this is the end unfortunately. When Girls Aloud went on hiatus some of them launched their solo careers (Cheryl, Nadine and Nicola did anyway, but only Cheryl's was successful in the long term) and they ended up splitting permanently after reuniting in 2012/2013. I guess The Saturdays will end up going the same way. They'll probably concentrate on their solo projects and families and then in a few years come back for a reunion tour.

This could be interesting for allowing them to diversify and concentrate on styles of their own. I think Rochelle and Frankie are mainly concentrating on tv work now.

I like the Saturdays, but do not think Rochelle has done herself any favours, going on Twitter to complain about easyjet.

I feel the same way. Privately messaging EasyJet would have been the better option.

That said, they're probably more likely to respond if publicity humiliated.

By way of a true story, I have used Easyjet on Saturdays in the past! July 15th 2006 is the most recent case in point.

Cheryl's voice wasn't as weak as Mollie's is. I'm surprised Mollie is going down that route. I thought TV work may be more her thing

It was nice of you to refer to Mollie on her birthday Mimi!

I wish Mollie could have been on tv that day. Fellow birthday girl Brooke Vincent was on Loose Women, and they even wished her a happy birthday then.

I can't post a link because I'm posting from my phone but Frankie tweeted just now that she had her second baby this morning. They've called him Carter

Congrats to them Not sure about the name Carter though. Carter Bridge sounds like a law or accountancy firm to me

I know what you mean. Parker too. They're American names, I think.

Well it seems using surnames as first names seems to be a trend these days. Harper Seven (as in Beckham) is also another name that sounds like a law firm. I've been looking up law firms to see which ones are best to work for.

Can you name the river that flows beneath Carter Bridge?

Mollie is in Notion magazine

I listened to "Chasing Lights" in full this morning. It's easily their strongest album. they should have stuck with that sound.
