Why don't you look for a local pet sitter instead ? No one from Birmingham seems to have any ideas !! I found mine on Gumtree. My dogs stay with her in her own home and are treated like one of the family. She has dogs and horses of her own and my dogs love going to stay with her.
Far better than a kennel, where with the best will in the world they tend not to get too much individual attention. Especially in August !
