Ben & Jerry's have been kind this year and have released 5 new flavours this year.

They launched the core range this year which is 2 flavours of ice cream with a caramel core going down the middle.

Karamel Sutra - Core Flavour

Caramel and chocolate chip ice cream with a caramel core.

Berry White - Core Flavour

Vanilla and Raspberry ice cream with a chocolate truffle core.

Double Whammy - Core Flavour

Chocolate and vanilla ice cream with a chocolate fudge core.

As well as the 3 core flavours there is also the winner from last year's competition.

The Vermonster

Caramel ice cream with caramelized pecan nuts and a caramel swirl.

They also added a extra flavour for good measure.

Oh My Apple Pie

Apple pie flavour.

They have also made Fossil Fuel a permanent flavour.

Discontinued Flavours

* Chunky Monkey (still available at the cinema's)
* New York Super Fudge Chunk
* Fairly Nuts (still available at the cinema's)

I liked that one Also Phish Food is very nice too,
The Vermonster one sounds nice though.
As for Core flavours, it must be to go with the Core Sundaes (available at cinemas) I'm guessing.

yeah only difference is one is hot. They have really upgraded their cinema counter more sundaes and milkshakes and all that it might be worth a visit.

These have been on offer at half price in Tescos and at £3 in Morrisons and are now again on offer in Morrisons at half price.

Tried most of them - The Vermonster I found the tastiest; Apple Pie very nice; Karamel Sutra seemed the best of the core fllavour trio.

Very disappointed to see Fairly Nuts discontinued. Chumky Monkey I found too sickly with the fudge chunks; similarly Cherry Garcia with the fudge flakes.

This is a common complaint I have with their range - they over-sweeten flavours by chucking in stuff like marshmallows, fudge and chocolate pieces.

One flavour I would like to try but have never seen is the chocolate macadamia.

Banana Split - Banana & Strawberry Ice Creams with Walnuts, Fudge Chunks & a Fudge Swirl

I've never seen that one but it's a prime example of what I don't like - it doesn't need fudge chunks.

I have to agree and over sweetening was why I didn't like the vermonster one - way too sweet for me.

The only one I have tried is The Vermonster I like it but I think the pecans let it down. I can see it going the same way as Fairly Nuts.

What is the Fossil Fuel flavour?
I'm the opposite to some here, I love brownie, fudge and squidgy stuff with/in ice cream but trouble is, they dont freeze very well.
I've never tried the Strawberry Cheesecake or Chocolate Macadamia ones, they sound nice Fairly Nuts is pretty good.

I tried the Vermonster last week - it was amazing! I'm not usually an ice cream person but I loved it so much I've ordered another tub for next weeks shopping

Apple pie flavour sounds nice, wouldn't mind giving that a go. I have only ever tried vanilla b&g's, I wasn't impressed, I thought it would be good quality like Haagen Dazs or Green & Blacks. but a flavoured one might be better. Might pop to Sainsbury's later and see if they have that apple pie one.

I've tried the Dough-ble Whammy and it is gorgeous - it's a mix of the cookie dough and fudge brownie B&J flavours. I'm going to try the apple pie one next time.

Fossil Fuel the first time around was axed in 2009 but was brought back in 2011 due to public demand. It is only available at Sainsbury's.

Rainforest Crunch was discontinued around 1999.

I think it was replaced by Phish Food which is still nice but Rainforest Crunch had thick bits of nuts in caramel which were awesome

That is the UK's best selling flavour and most people do not know the band Phish.
