I was PM, you are absolutely right and I agree. However, I think what is missing here though, is that there was never really any huge discussion, or really any discussion looking back over the chat logs, on the fact it was too similar to something. The reason for Justin’s planets idea wasn’t necessarily because it was too similar to anything; it was just an idea in general which we all liked and therefore went for. If I were to go back and do it again, I would have spent more time researching on the concept itself (and not just the donation prices and so on) to see if it could be compared to something similar.


I believe you have just compared it to 'a lot of games' and therefore we would have lost for it not being too dissimilar once again, unfortunately. But no, I couldn't see it as being plausible and other team members completely ignored Naruto's idea.

- I said I was on a roll on the first night because I gave my idea and BAM everyone was like "yeah lets do it" and then when we were looking for ideas after a few mediocre ones I suggested Elysium and once again everyone was like "omg yes thats AMAZING".
- You mentioned ideas about how when people play a lot they should level up and get new weapons; whilst that COMPLETELY disadvantages the newer players. I made a clear point about this.
- I didn't command I did all the work??? I said i'd do the TINY bit at the start, which I did, and then the other part because everyone was delegated one section...

Anyway, I think you need to explain yourself. I noticed that when I brought-to-light your lying in the boardroom to make yourself look better you didn't reply and pretended not to see it.

I agree with this; the whole team seemed surprised that we thought it an issue. This suggests that NO ONE really took in how much the task hinged on originality (LAS did say originality/realism were to be equal), not just the person who had the idea.

What happened was:

We all sat down, brainstormed a few genres and then Zak gave us each a genre to go and research. You decided instead of taking a genre you would like to look at the website and how it works. Then when we were looking you went offline.

I did take issue with originality. I suggested plot devices that were apparently removed while I was absent. So now I can't even defend myself because I don't even know what is mine anymore.

I don't think I failed at management, absolutely not, I thought I was a very competent PM. However, I think I made a mistake as a general candidate in that not taking it upon myself to research the concept, unfortunately, but that will never happen again.

I genuinely cannot choose anyone to take the entire blame, as that would be unrealistic and silly (not to mention, a lie). However, it appears the idea is our downfall and Carlisle was unfortunately the creator of the concept. However again though, without that, we wouldn't have had any idea other than Naruto's Lost-based idea. I'm not going to lie and say I didn't love Carlisle's idea either, because I did - though, I'm not going to point the finger as I genuinely cannot decide. I do believe though, that I should not be fired as my responsibility lied within other parts of the task that have been deemed okay.

I didn't ask whether you failed at management; I asked whether you made a mistake in your role as PM. And, as PM, your responsibility lay within all areas of the task. I'm sure you worked hard, but you seem to have acted more as a team member than a team leader.

Carlisle did the following: introduction including explaining the title of our concept (which he thought of) and the explanation of the concept (task one and task four I believe). I did the donations (task five) and the donation rewards (task six). Naruto shared task three with Justin, the pitch. Finally, Justin produced the logo.

As PM, EVERYTHING is your overall responsibility.

Honestly, I didn't think all that much of your management skills. I felt you were more of a team member than leader.

Anyway - I really have to go in a minute so i'm just going to post my 'plea' here.

Throughout this process I have been one of the strongest, if not the strongest, member of the team. In Task One I missed the initial idea being created but I suggested the market research (although I didn't actually do it ebcause it was delegated to Gav & Amroussi) which led to the changing of the idea which would've been a massive failure had we stuck to the original - primarily because everybody hated it.

In Task two I won as PM and as Tyjet put in the evaluation, 'nobody had anything bad to say about me'. I also came up with the two ideas that by the end were being argued over, the zoo game and a plastic toy like thing I can't really remember all the details called 'Shark in the Water'. The only thing that was badly said about my PM'ing was by Tyjet when he said that I shouldn't have thrown Amroussi under a bus by not organising for him to be dealt with due to his absence.

Task three, I did SO much work and did anything I was asked.

Task four I was named the strongest member of the team by one and I was praised by Peter in the feedback for being the only one who worked as a TEAM instead of saying they did the most!!

This task, I was the ONLY person to bring an idea to the table, I was cooperative and although I missed Friday due to in real life things; I was able to provide all of the work before 3pm today (meaning there WAS time to edit it) as well as coming up with the idea and the title of the idea. Although the idea was perhaps a major problem it was praised by the audience and cited as the 'better' of the two ideas.

I understand that there was problems with originality; however I do still stick by the fact that I have worked incredibly hard and the concept did differ a LOT from 'The Hunger Games'. It would be a fun idea that honestly I could see as being created. I also spotted out the issue with the other teams costings and console immediately - being the only one to question it in their thread. (Although I remember you saying that you raised an eyebrow, too).

I've proved myself throughout this process SO much and although I do think I might end up getting fired tonight I definitely don't think I deserve to. Other people (like Gav) have had a 'shaky' task and this is my one. If you don't fire me, I swear to god that I will continue my passion in future tasks and work so hard to prove that I deserve to stay in this process!

It's funny that i'm being 'scapegoated' by the majority of the team right now, yet, at the same time, nobody had these concerns when I created the idea?? Except Naruto, you're right, who came up with the idea to rip off LOST.

I think that Zak & I were the best members of this team and without us the other two would be lost. Justin and Naruto shared a pitch (neither asked if they could have any other area of the task on Thursday night) and Justin on top did the logo. I think we should really be looking at their lack of contribution. Also, I am DISGUSTED with Justins lies in this boardroom - and Katie said that he has done this in the past too. Do you really want to hire a liar??

I was deemed a "brilliant" team leader by Carlisle, a "good" team leader by Naruto, and a "great" team leader by Justin. This must count for something.

However, unfortunately, I'm going to have to bring Carlisle back into the boardroom with me, and I'm going to also have to bring back Justin.

I think Naruto is REALLY lucky here, because honestly I think Naruto should have gone for his lack of contribution. However - this sort of applies to Justin too, so I hope he gets fired because Zak (up till the BR) was a good PM.
