Hello,
I have just brought a sony network player (SMPN100), which has LoveFilm on it.

What i was wondering, was for some advice, on the following:-

1. Can i have 2 sony network players on the same account?
2. If so, can different films be streamed to 1 or the other sony network player at the same time?
3. Can two different IP addresses be used at one time on the account?
4. And also is there a limited to how many films you can watch in a given month? (am on unlimited internet,so download caps is not a problem)

Many Thanks in advance

Gaz

1. One device per account (regardless of what device)
2. See 1.
3. See 1.
4. Nope, it is unlimited as far as I'm aware.

Not sure about using 2 Sony Network players, but I have Lovefilm via Sony bdps370 bluray player and Xbox 360 and can stream from both at the same time without any problems.

The Unlimited pack gives you unlimited access to all movies, documentries and tv programs displayed. They do have a ppv selection of newer movies, but these are via pc or laptop.

you can have up to 3 devices streaming at the same time. No matter what these are as long as you don't try to activate a 4th you'll be fine.

Hello Again,

Thanks for the advice...Could someone just confirm whether more than one device can be on linked to one account? (its just Arkudos was saying only one device, rather than the other two people saying you could!!) and also what packages are you currently on?

Many Thanks Again

What about if I subscribe to one of the unlimited deals, associate my LG telly to the account - can I then play ppv films through my telly?

Not sure about LG, but if it has the Lovefilm app then you will be able to stream all the films, tv and documenteries that are made available for TV streaming. There are 1000's of titles ranging from recent releases i.e Gnomeo and Juliet, Expendables, Attack The Block, RED etc right back to films from the 1930's. There are a few extra titles (mainly tv) available for streaming via their website only but I think this is down to rights, but Lovefilm add titles on a regular basis. The PPV section is seperate again and is mainly new releases. This is available via Lovefilm through your pc and you could connect to your tv to watch them. The LG will proberbly have a PPV movie app included as Sony have Video Unlimited and other makes have Acetrax where you can have PPV and dont forget Sky Box Office, BT, Virgin and other ways to get PPV. In my opinion, if you go for Lovefilm you would be better paying the extra and have disc at home. I pay £7.99 and have Unlimited streaming and One disc at a time. You can use this for the new releases and turnaround is fast. I can get upto 3 per week. Thats £3 exta per month. PPV costs more per film. Hope this help

Hello Again,

After people advice i signed up for Lovefilm (on first month till 1st June). The problem i have is that on my sony network player, i only have about 1000 title i can chose from. Whereas the website states it has over 7000 titles.

Why can't i see all the title via my sony network player?

You shoud have a lot more than 1000. There are some web exclusives ie. Ppv films and some streaming tv content, but check each genre. I have 704 action, 999 comedy, 1849 drama, 260 documentry, 73 family, 463 horror, 358 romance, 326 scifi, 782 thriller, 528 world, 54 animated, 34 children, 104 musical, 20 special interest, 90 sport, 31 teen. You have more sections like recently added, staff picks, high rated but these are selected from other sections. Some genres do have some duplicated from other sections and there are tv episodes. I use a sony bdp s370

There are more available via the web site, mainly tv, a few films and ppv movies, but you should still get about 5000 streaming via the tv. I am getting this via Sony bluray and assuming yours is the same. Perhaps the Sony network player is different. Lovefilm add content regularly,

Check if any age restrictions have been set on the Bluray player. I have Lovefilm on my Samsung Freeview HD recorder & my Sony Bluray Player.
The list of films is fewer on the Bluray player because it is set up so the kids can't play unsuitable films whereas the Samsung lists all the films but requires a PIN to play.

Internet Video Parental Control: No Restrictions

Internet Video Unrated: Allow

Do those settings look ok?
