Am I the only one enjoying the series?
It seems like everyone on here is hating it! I've only been watching since Series 6, maybe that's why I am still enjoying it. Ok, I admit, Tom and Azhar are pretty dull, but I find all the other characters quite interesting. All these negative comments are giving me a bad feeling about the show!

No you are not alone
I have watched every series and enjoy them all. I am particularly interested in the candidates - good, bad and indifferent - and how they interact and deliver the tasks - good, bad and indifferent. Don't mind paying the licence fee for this quality of TV! Anyone else? |

I agree with you 100%. I don't get where people are coming from this year. The only thing that has got me annoyed this series is the firings of Duane and, in particular Katie (when Adam should have gone last week) Luckily, it seems as though DS isn't representative as I believe ratings are still high. I'm enjoying it just as much as I ever was.

I am loving it too - its great to see the individual characters develop or not as the case may be.
I still miss Margaret though and I think that Karren must be finding her a hard act to follow. |

I am enjoying it but it feels strange now that most of the bigger characters have gone. I can understand the slight negative attitude because it feels like all the decent characters are being culled. It would have been a completely different show if Bilyana, Maria, Jane, Duane, and Katie were still there, or at least lasted a little while longer than they did.
But I will have a solid opinion on the series when it is over and I can look back at it. At the moment it is frustrating me that so many useless / boring people are still there! I like Tom, Nick, Gabrielle, and Laura to an extent. I guess that's still enough people to like but none of them are particularly great TV.

Took me a while to get into it, but I'm really liking it now - I only like Tom, Nick and Gabrielle, but the others are still entertaining whilst annoying. The tasks have been good too.

I still look forward to Wednesday nights and to be fair every year a group of posters bemaon how crap the seriues had become.
However, this is the first year where I have disagreed on every firing exept one. I think the problem is, the bigger characters push forward to take a more active role and then have an accountability back in the board room- the PM is then stimulated to bring them back as an easy target. |

This is the series that has got me into the apprentice so I am enjoying it
However, have now watched series 1-5 on youtube and preferred some of them more.

I'm enjoying it more than last year, as things seem to get just far too negative for my liking. But I've sensed a change in attitude since Lord Sugar started looking for a business partner and not an apprentice. It seems like he's already decided on his picks, which has skewed the results, and now the show is simply about the candidates looking inept or unlikeable.
Those who get the most camera-time are there simply to boost the ratings, while the actual contenders are hardly shown. It's like they know what gets people talking and are now exploiting it. |

The Apprentice is a TV show, if Lord Sugar was looking for a conventional business partner, finding out if they can make beef stew is unlikely to be on his list of criteria !! On a couple of series, entrants have performed weeks of tasks only for blips in their CVs to be their downfall. Normally, the CVs would be analysed first. |

Interesting points. I'm guessing the editing is made relatively late in the process so shaping of the various characters can take place. I'm enjoying the series hugely, I think the show is very entertaining TV, it's one of the few shows I always record if I miss it. However, I guess that with the rider that I realise it's only tenuously connected to the real world of business. You are right, ratings plays a big part and that means finding 'characters'.

They are used to get rid of people who have done well/OK on the tasks. |

I love it - mainly as I adore Nick Hewer. Lord Sugar makes me laugh, and I know Jade Nash and her family.

I'm enjoying this series a lot, because it seems a lot more "sensible" than the last couple, with fewer outright idiots, and pretty solid reasons for the firings, even if we don't personally agree with them...
I think the lack of idiots (oh alright, "characters") is why this season has more haters than usual, but to be honest I'm glad we don't have a Stubags cluttering up the screen, though I accept that it's that kind of "type A" person a lot of the show's fans enjoy seeing... |

I still love it
But like others i've only been watching for the last 4 years so maybe i've just not grown bored of it yet. Only thing about this year is that I still don't have a clear favourite as don't think anyone stands out much as an obvious winner, but looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

I've been a fan for about 4 seasons of it but I'm bored now with the same tasks, same type of contestants saying the same crap. It's like a repeat of previous seasons.
And it's for that reason - with regret - I have to say ... The Apprentice, you're fired! |

Yes, you are the only person enjoying the series. Some guy's cat also likes it but that's an animal and it doesn't count.

I have only been watching it from series 6 too so I am still currently enjoying it.
Katie was my faavorite this year but seeing as she has gone I am supporting Jade to win it this year! |

Glad none of them are perfect as the show would be very dull indeed.
