As you can see from my posting history on this forum, I was one of your biggest fans here.

Personally, I hope that you have learnt from this that you are a very capable businesswoman who has lots of ideas (yes, not always the best ones, but a manager should filter the good ones out of it) and that you have beaten the editing team (which tried to make you look lazy and not doing much, but as you can see in the polls the people in Britain loved you).


The only time in Apprentice history I was more shocked at a firing was when Liz was fired over a field of ponies (mind you, the fact that we on the spoiler thread had false twitter reactions about Azhar being fired had a bit to do with that). Will continue to watch the show, but not really interested anymore in who makes the final (or even the final five doc).


P.S. Already knew that you didn´t make it into the final weeks, as your father was talking about you on the fulham forums (said the recordings where in september/october last year, while the Scotland task was dated October 26th, we knew that because some Scotsman had seen you in your pizza costume and posted it on-line somewhere!).

P.P.S. Also, I´m probably one of your only foreign fans (I´m Dutch and I even got an answer from Yasmina´s brother via e-mail during series 5). Je bent ook een hele lekkere vrouw (yeah, translate that!).

Hi Katie, good for you responding. I don't know the person who commented, and I wasn't in the cafe, so I can't and won't take sides, but I just wanted to say well done for putting your head above the parapet.

DS forums do seem a bit fierce at times, but when I was on DOND and got lots of criticism I joined up and answered criticism, and a lot of people did seem to respect me for bothering (and change their view of me). So I hope you get this kind of respect and that people change their view of you too, if appropriate. That's how I started as a forum member and now you couldn't keep me away!

Well done on The Apprentice - thought Adam should have gone instead of you! Good luck for the future. Hope you'll stick around and read a bit more, and maybe comment, although I realise that contractually you can't say much about the Apprentice. I'm so glad you responded You were definitely pleasant and I don't have a bad word to say about you as I complimented you on the original post. Your sense of humour was clear and I totally got it. We have a few favs on the show, you and Ricky both included.

The quotes from you and friends may be a bit stalkerish but I was just a bit flabbergasted at having seen someone from the tele and thought DS would appreciate my first hand experience!

If we saw you again we would not want to pick a fight with you coz we think you are well hard and could take us both.

We were sincere when we said we liked you and were routing for you. I quite like your humour and I do believe what Dara and the audience said that you shouldnt have been fired. It was really surreal to meet you as we were just on a weekend visit to London and we just wanted to find a nice little cafe. Interestingly this has happened to me before. I once met Lorraine from 3 years ago in Malaga. WEIRD! It was great to chat to her and she was telling me about what its like. I bet its a great experience.

About your friend, dont worry we haven't taken it seriously. Its just a bit of a laugh for us. I was thinking of calling down the stairs saying I want Ricky to win anyway but i felt it was a little bitchy. Hehe...

Me too, though for a different reason perhaps.

I was quite ambivalent about Katie. I found her likeable, though her accent wasn't the easiest on the ear and she could be a bit ditzy; but she had some good ideas, she was energetic, worked hard and she certainly wasn't the worst on the show; nor did she fall out of the ugly tree. In fact imo she was unlucky to get fired last week. I also say kudos to Katie, for putting her point of view on the forum. However what does amuse and bemuse me are the "Wow, it's Katie" exclamations and the protestations of love. How the hell can one love someone one has never met.

I'm sure Katie would be the first to admit that her claim to fame is no more than a fleeting appearance on a reality show and if that opens doors to bigger and better opportunities then good luck to her.

I'm sure she'll understand if I say her contributions to DS have been interesting but hardly awesome; and Katie you're a pretty young woman but I don't love you.

Hi Katie. Add me to your list of fans. You and Duane were my two favourites. I expected you both to go a long way, so I was surprised and disappointed that you left so early on consecutive weeks!

It's nice to have you here, but a word of warning: Digital Spy threads can get very nasty. People seem to like posting OTT negative comments about the nicest of people with no apparent justification. A good example is the thread entitled "I really like Karren".

Hopefully, you won't suffer at the hands of "trollers", but I wanted to warn you anyway.

Used to read their pieces every year on the show, but that paper has really gone down the drain in terms of journalists over the last few years (admittedly, this is me speaking as a foreigner based on a weekly segment for one hit show).

People must have really fallen on hard times to take that drivel seriously.

If someone I know did that, I would tell them to be more tactful in that kind of setting. I did once shout out to a celeb, (Lennox Lewis) who I saw and my friend wouldn't believe me at the time it was him but this was at Wembley Stadium and I don't think I needed to be that discrete in that setting but in a cafe I sure would leave others alone. He waved back when i waved at him too, I was in a quee so didn't go up to him as I didn't want to lose my place in the quee. Lennox was there to make a special appearance as well etc.

p.s, OP, you want Ricky to win? In the last poll I looked at, he didn't have any votes, neither did Stephen or Adam.

I can't see Ricky winning at all, he reminds me of that guy in an earlier series, cocky enough never to pack his suitcase because he was so confident that he wouldn't even be bought back to the boardroom let alone sacked and he got to the interview stage without being bought into the final 3 ever, mainly because he was that years Ricky/Adam or Stephen but Sugar sacked him first after the interviews where done!

Oh, I don't know - he is pretty accurate on Katie and this is quite amusing

Just wanted to say that i think you did yourself proud on the show, and that you came across really well on You're Fired as well.
Ever thought of doing presenting work?
Also, did Gino ask you for your number, and was your husband termpted to belt him at all?

In all honesty I felt that you were one of the standout candidates, unlucky to be pulled into the boardroom so often, and Lord Sugar was a mug to fire you.
Easily my fave this year and I'm not rooting for anybody now!

Have to be honest, I do enjoy the show. Its classic entertainment. Love it ....

The folks that take part are really putting themselves out their. It is easy to snipe from the sidelines without the pressure piled on, and a TV Crew filming your every move. Different kettle of fish.

Like anything in life, I take stuff with a pinch of salt ... I would judge non of the contestants on the basis of viewing the program. Its edited .. and people play games and put an act on ( well some do).

This years people seem to be a good bunch. Is it just me or does their seem to be Chemistry between Adam and Jade ??? ... hmmmm. I dont hate any of them ...


I happen to think Katie was one of the more compelling Contestants. I love the look on here face when she didn't agree with something or was not impressed. Classic Look!. Mean and Moody. Love it.


I does sound like she was NICE in the Cafe .. in fact more than nice. I would be very uneasy about such a situation .. as I would not want to invade her or anyone else's privacy .. Just because they have been on TV doesn't make them public property. I read it as Katie was being quite nice ....and pleasant. ( Why wasnt it me in the cafe). So Kudos to Katie. Thats what I thought .. even discussed with my other half ... saying how nice I thought it was of her.

I think posting details of her conversation is well Creepy ... and a totally out of order. Someone must live a sad life, if all they have to do is eavesdrop on others conversation. I will never winge about the edit- it works both ways. Dependant on the story you get a good OR bad edit. It's all just great fun! The only shame is that, as a business show- your personality doesn't shine in quite the same way. Obviously that's what the Dara show is all about

I really wasn't annoyed at OP for any of this. Me and my friend just thought it would be fun!

I have no desire to do any media (sounds strange I know) but I have found The media experience quite sleezy. Think about it, you wouldnt prostitute yourself for money, steel or obtain money by fraudulent activity? (she says hopefully) BUT all morals go out of the window with 'fame'- other candidates sell stuff on you, you get offered money to be 'accidentally' naked etc etc. I think this is a safe attitude to have since I am a week 6 candidate! Not exactly going to set the world alight!
