HDR-fox t2 manual hd retune problem
dorgo
29-04-2012
I have retuned my box on manual because on auto retune it was picking up over 250+ channels, and a lot from other regions.

However when I try to manual tune in the HD channels using channel 39 it shows no signal and gets no channel.

I am on the hannington transmitter and got the channel numbers from http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/postcodec...etuning-source

I have searched but can't find anything on there being another channel.

Thanks

In the Manual Search section of the menu did you select DVB-T2 or leave it on DVB-T alongside Transmission? If you did not select DVB-T2 the Humax won't recognise the HD mux.

Thanks that worked a treat, the manual or anywhere else on the tinterweb didn't say that needed to be done.

It isn't mentioned explicitly in the manual that you have to do that. It just says in the bit about Manual Search that you select DVB-T or DVB-T2 for the Transmission mode. So you have to sort of work out for yourself that the HD mux needs T2 mode setting.

I can well see that if a user didn't know that the SD and HD muxes used different transmission modes then what little information is in the manual wouldn't help at all.

There are several places on the Internet that give the information as a Google search on "Humax hdr-fox t2 manual tune" will demonstrate,
