I have a 9300 that has started to have a playback problem earlier in the year, some programs recorded are ok, but others the same day will not play back. They go to play, screen blanks then comes back to listing and on checking the actual recording on the edit menu find that it is being shown as being at the end of the recording and not the start and unable to edit and the box will crash & hang. The disk was getting fairly full, but deleting some has not helped. Have another PVR as well now so not currently using the 9300, but would like an answer. Did speak with Humax support, but did not know of this problem, unit now out of warrantee.

I would try formatting the disk from the HDD Control Menu (which will of course delete your recordings).

Thanks for the suggestion, will try that at some point after watching/clearing out old programs.
