Why hasn't Delta Goodrem released any material in the UK since 2005?

What terrible sort of management does she have? After such a strong debut back in 2003 her chart presence has vanished since her last single Out of The Blue peaked at #9 in January 2005. Why are all her latest releases not extending outside of Australia? Loving her new single but unfortunately it probably won't get a release her

After Out Of The Blue she did Almost Here with Brian McFadden , which hit number 3 in the UK Chart , since then she has released 9 singles in the UK , including her most recent release , 2012's Sitting On Top of the World . All have failed to chart despite each single hitting the Australian top 20.

Part of the problem is her image in the UK . When she was with Brian McFadden , there was some interest in her in the UK , but since their relationship ended she has little significance on the UK music scene and now rests in the where are they now? section of the bargain bin.

She has not released anything in UK since Almost Here. Putting stuff up quietly on iTunes and actually promoting and doign a full release is a different matter.

Anyway the main reason is : KERRY KATONA!

Really? Kerry Katona is pretty hated here and Delta always seems absolutely lovely.

She needs to release and promote here as she is so talented.

My favourite is Together We Are One but can't find it on iTunes

Also catboy, most of Delta's fanbase in the UK came from Neighbours, where she played Nina Tucker. Hence why Born to Try and Innocent Eyes got into the Top 10 due to being plugged on the soap, as well as Lost Without You making the Top 10 also as she was in the soap at the time that song was released.

When she left Neighbours, most of her UK fanbase died off because she didn't spread into any other fanbases like Madonna, Kylie (who started out on Neighbours!) and Lady Gaga have done and only had the Neighbours audience.

Fair enough! It was when the public thought Katona was an angel.

Tho if she knew how much Katona was disliked now it might change her mind.

I'm annoyed at her for doing this she focused more on the states and ditched us UK fans i waited for ages for Delta then to find out no UK release and a quiet digital release on iTunes which is a shame as whilst not her best it was a good album and if she worked harder could have consolidated her fanbase and perhaps spread into other markets but alas.

She was similar to Kylie in having the "Neighbours effect"... but on a much smaller scale as Neighbours viewing figures were tiny in comparison to the late 80s where 20-25 million tuned in. Even Craig McLachlan (Henry Ramsay) got a hit song 20 years ago. Neighbours literally made stars out of everyone.. even the dog bouncer. It was the ultimate leg up. Without that vehicle Kylie would be as famous as Delta (and perhaps not even that as Delta is a much better vocalist).

Delta is not newsworthy in that she doesnt court controversy (hit people in toilets/have high profile marraige/get caught giving a BJ.. etc etc) and so she doesnt get non musical attention that unfortunately is needed these days to give more publicity to the music itself. Its a sad state of affairs!

her high profile relationships were very newsworthy. the speculation surrounding her and nick jonas alleged relationship was reported worldwide. given nick`s standing in the world of entrainment. its arguable whether that got more press attention on a worldwide basis, than your not so subtle examples of other singers newsworthy moments.
