I bought this from XBLA, I could have had it free from PSN but that would have cost £40

All I can say about this game is that its fooking amazing, I'm hooked, this game has changed my life, I don't understand why I never bought it before, its worth £40 and then some!!

Anyway, how did you guys play it? I'm going stealthy for this my first play through, I'm loving how the game leaves everything upto the player, from missions to how you play it, what upgraded augs, even down to the route you take to complete the mission and the different outcomes as direct result of your actions.

F**king awesome, this game should be on every gamers shelf.

I was put off by the aiming, and also the fact you have to ask each person loads of questions. I kinda just want to get on with it!

You realise neigh is the sound a horse makes. I think you meant nay. As for Deus Ex, it's okay. Not great, not bad.

Regards

Yay; it's a really great game, very immersive and detailed but does lose a little of that part way through when your character can be a little overpowered and the A.I. isn't as smart as it should be although it is very good. The options available to the player in tackling objectives is broad and it really adds to the role playing of the game.

What was wrong with the aiming? Without the conversations and the requirement to figure things out it would be a standard and rather boring FPS; a genre I normally don't play these days.

I need to give this another go, I've started 3 new games but not long after I start real life stuff has gotten in the way, anyway

There's a part where you have to enter a police station, I watched some goons tackle it and they had like 3 different approaches they tried, stuff like "you could do this this, or you could do this" etc. I was watching thinking to myself, I just found some boxes around the hub city thing, just piled them up against a fence, jumped from a trash can on to said boxes then hop'd the fence into the station. Just assumed that's how your supposed to do it, was amazed there was so many different options available.

Hmm haven't played the original for sometime. I concur still better than some of the rpg games today... And better than the newer version.

Deus-Ex Human revolution is my most replayed game of recent years after Oblivion, and Fallout 3/NV. Love it...I like the RPG elements, and its fun trying different methods of play...I slightly prefer stealth in this game, but am not averse to some mindless gung ho storming in...lol.

Yeah, thats the problem sometimes in asking about a game, either a lot of people will like it and you find it's just not your cup of tea..or only mostly people who like it will respond, in which case its a biased view.

Personally, I find the best way to get an idea of a game before I buy, is to watch a few videos with commentary of a walkthrough someone has done on youtube...better than any review or advice imo. a few vids is usually enough not to spoilt to much, but get a reasonably good idea.

search youtube for 'game name' 'commentary'.

I have just ordered 'driver san francisco' after watching a walkthrough , I dont usually like driving games, but this one looks interesting.
