Here's a good Q & A about it. http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/89...view-sega-kart
The first game was surprisingly very good but I'm going to hold out & see what LBP Karting has to offer before deciding which one to go for |

I hope Banjo-Kazooie appear in the XB360 version again! |

Still haven't got around to picking this up, is the handling of the cars similar to the Mario kart series.

Similar, but better, IMO, I enjoyed the first game more than I've enjoyed any Mario Kart game from the past 10 years, a lot of people ignored the game because it was labeled a "Mario Kart Clone".

really looking forward to this!
Hope they sort out the load times though, they were far too long Also hope they add a tournament or something for splitscreen, was rather annoying that it was just single race after single race |

It sounds a lot like Diddy Kong Racing from the N64 with the adventure mode & flying

Isn't as good as the first one. The transformations are an annoying gimmick and the driving sections are by far the most enjoyable.
The character roster isn't as good as the first game and the voice overs are bad. The game is also WAY too hard. The Hard difficulty is extremely hard and frustrating, then later you find out and even harder Expert mode unlocks. I wish i went with the WiiU version because it's ruining my gamerscore with stupidly impossible and stupidly hard achievements. There are a few things that are better than the first game like level design and vehicle mods but the first is better. A Kart Racer should be a game you can play with your mates for fun but it's too hard for that and friends don't want to play it. |

So sad to see how basic the sales have been for this game, it's brilliant and has a load of content, so to see it wobble around the chart between 25 and 30 is just, ugh, the state of modern gaming at times.
Yes the game is difficult! It makes you really go all out, if this says it's Hard, it's going to be Hard! But I do like it, I just need to master the tracks to put off the best routes possible, I noticed when i first started playing I was barely scratching 3rd and 4th on the new maps, but on the legacy maps I was coming out on top (Shibuya Downtown how I love it) simply because I knew those ones like the back of my hand on where to drift, take shortcuts, etc.Flying is easily the worst part for me, Driving best and even the boat parts are good (OutRun Bay is brilliant for this!) but I do find maps that have forced Flying is where I tend to stutter and lose a few places. |

Loving this game, it's far superior to the first game in the way it plays. The hard difficulty is just too punishing for me though, and even the normal level can be pretty hard on some events.
Split screen multi-player is amazing, and really fast. Playing the Outrun tracks (forward and reverse tracks) is brilliant. Everything about this game is really cool, the gameplay is robust, and the transformations are really sweet. I love the aircraft, and I love the way you have to develope your skills to use each vehicle type. The graphics are beautiful, and the sound is damn fine too. Mark

I really enjoyed the demo when I played it on PS3 but I'll be getting it on Wii U. Going to sell Nintendo Land which I got with my console & get this as I'll get a lot more play out of it

Got this yesterday and I have to say I do love it.
It is insanely difficult but that's what makes it so brilliant. Once you've been playing it for a while you get the hang of it and find yourself getting better and better and daring to try for the hard mode more Only thing I'd say though is that it doesn't play smoothly enough for me. Courses are too messy/crowded and sometimes you just find yourself going off in the wrong direction because its not quite sure where your meant to turn. 7/10 for me |

I got this a couple of days ago and frankly I'm glad I did!! Anyone that liked mario kart or crash team racing should get this. Yes it's challenging but honestly like others have said once you get the hang of it you soon start climbing the difficulty curve.
Just unlocked the hardest difficulty and got my first four star last night ... good times!! Great little game at a great price at the moment!! One question though about split screen ... if I play the SP game on split screen and one of us wins does that count as a win and i get the stars?? |

Brilliant game and I love it to bits but the connection issues last night and the other night online where driving me bonkers.
Worth every penny though and glad I got hold of this game. |

Bought this the other day (was £14.95 on Amazon with free DLC so thought i'd take the risk)
It's actually VERY good, far better than i'm assuming people think it'll be. It's arguably better than Mario Kart Wii i'd say. I just love how beautifully the race stages are designed, they really have nailed the theme of each game the track is based on, with many branching routes. (gotta love the after burner one where you're racing amidst a naval battle). Theres a whole host of different challenges and I think the transformed mechanic works well. Of course, there are one or two aberrations (did we really need Danica Patrick and that guy out of a Disney movie?). But this really is a hidden gem, especially f you're a Sega fan, so much fan service. |
