This programme used to be my guilty pleasure. Watched ten minutes last night and turned off in boredom. What a yawnfest it's become!

The Mario/Lucy Did They Or Didn't They Cheat And When saga was interesting because a) they both cheated and b) they found out in some dramatic circumstances.
Throw in the Jess/Ricky battles and it's clear the writing team think this is the way forward for any couple appearing on the show.
But the Danielle/Lockie cheating storyline is without substance, literally and figuratively. He's a cad and an opportunist (I like him despite this) but apparently has remained monogamous. Texts and tweets to/from any member of the opposite sex hardly constitute 'cheating' and if he's telling the truth it happened during the early days of their relationship. It takes two to tango and it's not like she committed to exclusivity at that stage either. And so all the palaver from the two gossip queens Gemma & Bobby and the rest of the females is a complete waste of time.
The Tom/Fran/Diags triangle is intriguing but ringing a bit false. Fran generated one continuity error after another by playing with her hair during the Tom-delivers-flowers conversation. In one shot her hair was pushed back, in the next it was hanging down over her face. So much for reality, eh? Diags may be awkward, shy, etc. but put the game controller down mate and have a chat. She's out of your league anyway but at least give it your best shot.
Dan's participation seems minimal and I thought Jasmin was on the way out until she got a decent bit of dialogue with Frank Major last ep. It seems that Abi Clarke has been scratched but it's unclear who made that decision - her Twitter ID says she's still a TOWIE cast member though.

I am 'hanging in there' by my fingertips with this show, it's always been a load of nonsense but it is losing any 'credibility'....lol, yeah I know TOWIE and creditability don't go together at the best of times!

Also bobby and Gemma seem to make very situation 10x worse, with there stirring and there comments. They don't have relationships so feel the need to but into others.

It seems people are getting tired of the show and me too. I had to unlike the facebook page as I as so fricken tired of seeing pictures of all these nobodies.
With Mark, Lauren. Amy, Joey, Kirk, Sam, Billie they may not be the smartest people in the World but they do have something about them, they haven't faded into obscurity but the rest of them are just awful, they're like wallpaper.
With Mark and Lauren they had this couple who had a connection and it felt very real watching them but since they left, it's turned into Mario & Lucy who had a bit of that and now it's down to Ferne and Charlie (really watering it down) to a sea of nothingness with tonight's Lockie and his girlfriend.
And the recycled story-lines are just so irritating. The charm of the show has died and it's replaced people who had something semi interesting with bland, annoying people with no personalities.

I think he did, due to his get-out clause of "before Vegas I wasn't serious about you", or words charmingly to that effect. It came across to me as though he thought it didn't count if things weren't serious.
Agree about Bobby and Gemma though, glad Lockie told her to stay out of it.
The show desperately misses Joey and Lucy, when Mark left I was gutted but they did have other characters that stepped up to the plate who were interesting and had a personality. Like many have said alot of the characters are just wallpaper and so bland it really is like watching the same person over and over. Also where has the fun in TOWIE gone?, we used to get some right good comical scenes like Gemma's glamping trip, Arg and Diags art class etc, now its just one big yawnfest.

I agree about Gemma sticking her nose in with her comments, she can't help herself. On the other hand I've been in Bobby's situation, it's horrible and I totally understood why he told her. He didn't seem to get involved when Lockie came back, very quiet and let them have it out themselves.

I am confused as to why this mystery girl that Lockie is supposed to have slept with is texting Bobby. Even he doesn't seem to know her as he kept referring to "this girl". It all sounds very set up (not that everything else isn't!).
Fern thinks she is a star. Really she is just slack going from one man to the next. Charlie has his head up his own backside but is right I bet she goes right back to him. And Im not sure if Frank is a step up from Charlie...both far from attractive especially if you are going to air you laundry so publicly.
