Please, please, please Lydia .... don't be a fool .... never go back to James as will make your life a misery just as he did before.”

He called her a slag for having a one night stand after she dumped him. He's a prat who has no respect for women. The way he treats Gemma is disgusting too.

Arg has had the same "storyline" since he's been on the show. It's either been Lydia or his weight, then Gemma, or his weight, and now it's back to Lydia, and his weight.

I'm pretty sure every series we get a "I've lost weight" and a "I've let myself go" in the next and repeat.

I've not watched TOWIE since before Lauren G left, is it worth bothering with these days or am I better off steering clear?

Unfortunately I'd say steer clear

Lydia looks a bit better with the weight she has put on, but has she done something with her lips, they look kinda weird, also Ferns mouth seems to look a lot bigger

I was thinking it must just be me that thought Lydia had had something done to her mouth. She apparently has naturally plump lips but I noticed particularly in the scene at the end of Sunday's episode, when she was talking to Arg at the party, her mouth (upper lip area) had gone a bit stiff and duck-like (as Katie Price once said about herself!). I didn't really see it as much on Wednesday.

I still enjoy it as a guilty pleasure, but it has become repetitive.

It doesn't help that none of these people have the ability to speak in anything other than a monotone drone, and the conversation is basically about who's shagging who, which, given the small cast, is pretty limited!

As for the 'script', ridiculous!

"You've killed me as a person!" - So he didn't kill her as a cowboy, Scooby Doo or Spongebob Squarepants then? Good, glad we've got that cleared up! She also looks very healthy for a corpse!

"I'm not Stevie Wonder, I've got two eyes!" So has Stevie Wonder, you prat! He just can't see!

Harry and his Rylan-a-like boyfriend - completely devoid of any charisma or personality.

Are they all supposed to be twenty-somethings, because some of them look like it's a while since they saw their 20s! Maybe it's the the layers of make-up and regular use of fake tan/sunbeds that's aged them. They all seem to blend into each other - no individuality or personality. The only two who stand out are Arg and Gemma Collins, and that's because a) they're not skinny and b) they look like they could be the parents of the others! How old is Gemma? I'd have guessed 40s!”

It's those clumsy lines that makes me believe it's not scripted! (Well, I mean they weren't told to say those lines). Silly as through Lydia sounded I completely understood what she meant. If you've never gone through a break up where you feel like a black hollow figure with no grounding and no light then lucky you. Hahaha that sounded clumsy too but I think you get what I mean, you feel like they actually killed a bit of your soul

My favourite clumsy line of the night goes to Ferne "I like, I like literally love you so much"

What happened to those two new girls Imogen and Robyn? I think they may have been axed considering Tom was more interested in Grace and one had a boyfriend. Georgia (I think) was right, they were very 'London', a bit too good for the show tbh.

Yeah I think either they were only contracted for Marbs (which seems a bit pointless) or they just didn't work out as planned so they've been scrapped.

They brought absolutely nothing to the show so I don't mind that they've disappeared.

I feel like this season is struggling with the lack of a main star or two.

Before, it was clearly Mark, Lauren then Lucy/Mario+Joey/Sam. The producers are obviously trying to push Charlie and Ferne but idk this series just feels a bit empty so far for some reason.

I found that episode quite uncomfortable to watch.

Fern is no saint, but from what I gather Charlie cheated on her - but they have decided to give it another go and they have both moved on. Chloe refuses to accept her brothers wishes and keeps going on about it, which results in Fern harping on about it and for some reason Elliot feels its his place to stir and get involved - when really he has nothing to do with it. All of them need putting down a peg or 3 and all are pretty awful characters but Elliot - he's just a nasty nasty piece of work. And if Chloe would have just accepted the apology like a grown up and moved on - it would have been over by now.

Guess that doesn't make entertainment tho.

Also, just as an aside... what on earth is going on with Charlie's hair?! He looks like a late '90s boyband reject.

One thing to remember is that the self-awareness of the cast has caught up to the scripting of the show and/or real-life events.

Whatever you think of them, when it was Mark, Arg, Amy and Lauren G in the early days there was a bit of naivete about them even though they were in on the game.

Now the cast know that every glance, gesture, etc. is fodder for the cameras and they play to them shamelessly with the openly-stated aim of becoming famous for becoming famous.
