Exactly! For instance Tom P escapes all the criticism because he's nice to look at, even though he moved from Lauren P to Lauren G in a nano second and proved Lauren P's point.

Also what about Mario? All these rumours regarding unfaithelness are probaly true. If you really love your gf, why are you leaving her alone every other evening to go out?

Arg is probaly the nicest person on the show, yes he's overly emotional, over sensitive and usually says the wrong thing but he has a better heart than the others I've mentioned. People need to take a look into their own lives and wonder why Arg is provoking such an intense responce from them?

Interesting points above. I don't like Arg, strikes me as an insecure control freak, not pleasant. I don't find him amusing particularly, it is generally a laugh at someone else's expense. He's immature, I imagine he'll grow up over the next few years and hopefully improve his personality.

However I also do not like Mario, do not find him remotely attractive and yes, persistent rumours appear to surround his ability to be faithful which question why Lucy is agreeing to marry him, though I doubt any wedding will ever take place between them.

Tom P - he's a player, young, out for a good time, but he's not trying to hide his true nature - at the moment anyway.

All the guys on this show come across as pretty faithless in general, exploiting the fame achieved through being on the show. Not many guys their age would behave differently, IMO.......maybe the reason for the additional Arg dislike is the extreme manipulation of Gemma (and apparently Lydia before her) is being displayed more, through the women talking about it. He seems to need to put her down, want her to not make the best of herself, presumably so she doesn't attract other male attention, which all boils down to his insecurities. Perhaps he needs a spot of therapy to resolve his personal issues before he embarks on any more relationships.

This series is great - Chloe and Lauren P are a fantastic combo, Chloe is def the sweetest character on the show.
Arg was sweet in the first series but I suspect the fame & increased female attention has led to him becoming arrogant and unpleasant. His humour is crass and the way he spoke to and about Lydia last series was despicable - it may have been a huge set up but I really loved seeing Mick tell Arg to show some more respect. Mick's definitely the most attractive man on this show.
Jess and Ricky are incredibly boring and their relationship feels the most fake to me - the dinner conversation fel like manufactured drama.

I felt awful for Ricky tonight. And I agree with the poster that said Jess showed no emotion! Poor Ricky. And Mario being a twerp to him in the pub.

Also, I don't believe for a second that Gemma is pregnant, or even thinks she is...although it makes for a kind of nice little storyline I guess. I really, really, really want Gemma and Arg to go back to being how they were in earlier series - fun loving and sweet, so hope there is more of what we saw at the end of this episode to come!

I felt awful for Ricky too! I don't really get what Jess was even going on about and she didn't even get that bothered about it all.

Arg is disgusting this series. He's definitely let fame go to his head, and the way he spoke and spoke about Lydia in this and last series has been horrendous. I had to wash my eyes out with acid after the scene with the fish tank. Reminded me of Frank Butcher with the bow tie, only a million times worse.

I was working with a guy the other day who works part time as an events waiter. He said he was working at one of the nights that Mark threw in one of the earlier series, and they were doing the same scenes time and time again, and everyone had to dance and pretend to party with no music on! He also said they left behind the scripts which had literally every single line on.

Felt awful for Ricky, but then again, I felt awful for Arg when Lydia was accusing him of cheating and he denied it over and over, and then it turned out he had been, so maybe jess's been getting more than just tweets to make her think somethings gone one.

Arg is a pillock, but he's funny to watch. Bit of a Frank Butcher meets Frank Sinatra tonight.

I see they couldn't even get a cinema to properly accomodate Goodger. Is there any need for her inclusion in the show anymore, other than the fact she p*sses off 85% of the audience.

I love Popey and Chloe, I love Sam and Joey, I've even grown to like Carole recently. Goodger needs gone, I've been saying it since season 2, but I really mean it now.

Lucy is borderline for me now, she used to be my favourite but Mario has dragged her down to the same level as Lauren to be honest, moaning, projecting her own issues onto others, basically just being her boyfriends mouthpiece, I swear most of the things she says now I can actually imagine Mario telling her to say/think.

Theyve always been involved and its so annoying!! They interfered in Mark and Lauren's relationship. I actually felt for Lauren with the rest of them sticking their oar in.
And Mark's dads now a regular on the show? The fame chaser. To replace his son, quite sad.

Having a good chuckle at the posters that say the only reason people dislike Arg is people they have deeply troubled lives of their own. Oh yes, a show like TOWIE certainly has the depths required to encourage one to scour one's own deepest, darkest insecurities. It helps one hold a mirror up to one’s troubled soul........oh no wait it doesn’t, it’s candy floss telly, there is no other layer.

The producers obviously went out of their way to exert Arg damage limitation, reigning in the nasty side of his character, hence the pantomime scene with him serenading Gemma on her doorstep. Nice try producers, but it’s a bit too late, the mask has well and truly slipped.

For what it’s worth I also can’t stand Mario. He’s a humourless bore.

Agree about arg, he has a really nasty streak. He can become aggressive and rude at merest thing and is a complete control freak. Mario and Lucy are really boring. This constant 'I keep hearing rumours about you Mario' malarkey is tiresome and not helped by the fact that apart from Lucy, he has little else to talk to about in his so called 'life'.

Love Gemma and Arg but Gemma needs to stop crying every other scene, it's annoying.

What happened to Lauren and all the girls? It's like they've all fallen out when last series they where all friendly.

Joey Essex needs to go. His cringey lines are just far too much, I honestly go red for him with some of the things he says. Carol and Debbie are irritating to they really do bring nothing at all to the show.

Arg has admitted that he got arrogant when he lost weight. It is pretty common when people lose a lot of weight so I dont think he should be too harsh on himself.

He has improved from the last series so he is heading in the right direction. None of us are perfect.

Gemma does seem to genuinely like him so I hope they can work things out. Gemma's mum has glammed up since we last saw her.

Joey interests me less and less now. He is just a bunch of made up words and phrases with not much else to offer. Sam is too good for him.

Arg has gone from a silly immature school boy to a very disturbing young man with some quiet seriously worrying behavioural,anger and control issues.

Mario is pure sleeze and very shallow.

Tom P is just yuck and I really don't see the attraction...sweaty armpits within 5 minutes of putting on a t-shirt??? Attractive!

Joey...well he's just thoroughly stupid and I cannot for one minute see that Sam really could love such a dull boy.

Charlie is creepy..seriously seriously creepy.

And the other hangers on and spotty oinks are fast forwarded over so couldn't comment.

I do still hold a tiny little candle to Mick but do wish he'd find himself a nice woman HIS age and stop trying to be with the 'kids'.

So basically TOWIE has some strong, entertaining women (excluding Lauren P who I just cannot bare to watch with those teeth and the lack of expression!). Make a nice chance actually to be able to say the women show themselves off better than the men!!

Gemma is a star and I do wish she'd get out of that relationship..why she split from the fella before I'll never know, he was adult and good looking and Arg is just...neither of those things!!
