One thing I don't understand is whenever there's a phone conversation, there's a camera on both ends.
For example yesterday when Billie called Cara/Billie and Jess. Did they just follow them around all day or what? |

The thing is you never see either camera crew in shot, which can only mean that they shoot the same conversation several times from each persons point of view like they do in the movies. In fact it's probably just one camera crew and they keep starting and stopping the scene to shoot from each perspective, so a 2 minute conversation might take 20 minutes or more to shoot. You could almost imagine that it's not real.

I don't understand Charlie at all, when he first came into it, he was the one who was saying he liked to wait until a relationship was serious to have sex and I really respected him for saying it but last night he was saying practically the complete opposite :S. So what if Danni wants to wait a few weeks after they become a couple to have sex?
Favourite quote of the night has to go to Bobby though - "It's a sad day when a guy can't get his eyebrows threaded and tinted without getting dirty looks "

I couldn't understand what it was all about TBH. Charlie can hardly be accused of being a sexual predator. I'm still waiting for him to come out. he never kissed Gemma apart from the ridiculously OTT Officer and A Gentleman set up. I don't know any hetero male who dates a woman without at least kissing her.

Now she's broke up with her boyfriend of 5 years?! I don't mind the fakery of the show, but atleast be consistent with it lol |

Is Little Chris genuinely Mario's best friend or has he just been cast as such, as is the case with Bobby and Charlie? It was no surprise that Mario announced that Chris would be best man over his other choice, ! |

So what if Danni wants to wait a few weeks after they become a couple to have sex?
So he's gone from a gentleman, to referring to women as objects that he can just have whenever he wants now. I thought that was such a disrespectful thing to say to Danni. It's like he's trying to say, I would never pressure you Danni, it's the last thing I want.. Yet he tells her that if she wants to take it slow and not be official yet, then he's gonna go out and shag everything that moves because she won't satisfy his 'manly needs' all of sudden. How does that make any sense? That's the most pressurising thing of all to say, because she really likes him and doesn't want to lose him. It's such a simple situation Charlie, you dimwit! And you of all people should know how the girl feels.. |

I've wondered about this with all of these kinds of programmes. As I think someone has already said, the illusion-shattering answer would be that the person who makes the call is filmed genuinely doing so and then the recipient is later filmed giving answers or making comments that fit in.
So they'll find out Jess is doing a new single (not really much of a story there, but worth a mention), find out Billi and Sam want to play netball so they'll tell them to invite all the cast and make a scene they can film out of that. So they script it into a phone call. A film crew deliberately get Jess all made up and sat in the studio (as if she's in the middle of recording her song), and tell her she's gonna get a phone call and they're gonna record it. On the other side a film crew have told Billi and Sam to ring Jess so they can film it. Then it's all edited down and obviously they are told to ask Jess what she's up to, so that she can throw in the line about her new single. It's the same with all other scenes. Mick and Kirk for instance where they suddenly get into talking about Lauren. Not that Mick would probably even care that much but the producers have obviously told him to get onto the topic of Lauren during the convo, so that viewers get a chance to hear what he thought of it after they awkwardly saw each other in the cafe the other day. And all the scenes where some of the cast are out somewhere or in a shop/walking along whatever - they're obviously told to be in that place. Especially all the awkward scenes - like Kirk 'bumping into' Lauren etc. I don't think Lauren knew he would be there, hence how genuinely awkward it was. But obviously the producers want to set up some Kirk storylines and tension so they deliberately set it up so that he walks in, to see Popey's reaction. Sorry if that's all blindingly obvious but some people seem to be getting really confused by the concept. Obviously I'd like to believe they don't film things twice over or film it repeatedly from different angles when people open their doors or whatever, but hopefully those scenes are in the minority and are the more deliberately OTT funny ones anyway. Whereas scenes like the genuine awkwardness of Kirk and Lauren seeing each other, or Bobby having a massive rant at Danni, I'd like to believe are filmed mainly in one take and are more unpredictable and likely to go either way. |

For the very first time since his arrival, Bobby actually made me laugh mistaking Gone With the Wind for Thelma and Louise.
