When Bobby and Gemma were chatting away in the audience loudly and then the person behind tapped them on the shoulder. For a start if you're a TOWIE fan, which I assume you must be to go and see their show would you interrupt two of the main characters "gossiping"? That would be more interesting than the farse on stage.
![]() I thought Bobby's head was going to fall off at one stage.. his like one of those nodding dogs

That was Cara and Billi who did the shoulder tap. Didn't understand that at all ... Why interrupt them
![]() I thought Bobby's head was going to fall off at one stage.. his like one of those nodding dogs ![]() Ahh OK I was watching on a small TV and couldn't see BUT still they know the cameras are capturing the gossip and that's what the audience are really wanting to listen to so it just felt staged and the producers asked them to do that so the audience wouldn't think "they're nattering away really loudly and no one is complaining" Yeah lol "Bobby" literally, just get Gok on. |

I am sure you are right on that. The cameras stayed with Joey and Sam for far too long, while there were other things going on they could have shown, so they were almost definitely waiting for a proposal. I think even Sam was expecting it.

I thought the same and thought that was why he was saying there was too much pressure.

I'm a TOWIE fan but it was awful, which kind of made it good because I couldn't stop watching!
![]() Ratings were good though, just over a million watched it, over double than what MIC got in the same time slot. The Only Way Is EsseXmes coming this month too!

The live episode was awful and, I think, not in a good way. To those who said it's the first episode of TOWIE they've ever watched, the normal series is a lot better. I mean it's still trash but much better trash!

Why the producers thought a partially scripted, heavily edited TV show such as this would work LIVE, I don't know.
It was just awful. |

Highlights were:
Arg touching Lydia on the back gently before having a full scale argument that was barely audible. Dani trying to creep backwards out of shot. Mario repeating the fact he was nervous over and over. Carole falling off the chair. Jess' bad miming. Joey in all scenes! Agree with other comments that Chloe, Diags and Kirk were the better parts of the show. |

Can anybody tell me why they are not allowing you to see this live episode on iplayer? It tells you you can, but then when you click to watch it, a black screen comes up!!! All other programmes are able to be watched. A conspiracy to stop anybody else from seeing how bad it was maybe???

I heard from close sources to Joey that he was pushed by the production team to propose to Sam in their scene last night. I wondered why the camera spent too long with them and why Joey looked incredibly nervous for no real reason.
Also Chloe wasn't meant to ask Joey if he had an engagement ring on him, it was meant to be a surprise up until Joey's and Sam's scene. |

I think those who are suggesting Joey was under pressure to propose to Sam live on TV by the producers were right, think they wanted that to be the "money shot".

I thought it was going to be bad in a good way, but it was mostly just terrible and really hard to watch. Chloe and Diags seemed the same as usual, so i assume they do not play up to the cameras. I'm quite glad as i have always found them the most genuine.

Normally TOWIE is dreadful car crash TV that you cannot help watching as it is so bad. I stopped watching TOWIE after series 3 but tuned in to see if it was as bad as I remember. It wasnt, it was much much worse
A few folks have said they liked Chloe. OMG are you deaf she could not hold a tune in a bucket. Her "singing" was shockingly bad |

Does this mean Lydia will leave too? What is her part going to be in it now except being harrassed by Arg.

She really is a spare part if they don't. Wouldn't mind if she goes though as she annoys me.
