No Tom P, no Lydia's Tom or Kara and Billie.
Tom P was in it for a few shots but didn't say anything.

Tom K has left.

Good for Lydia to be honest. I wont really miss her, but hope her and Tom K are happy together.

I was really glad to see Mark back, and Arg's crying seemed like the most genuine thing to happen for a while! He is so right! Since Mark left he has become an 'arsehole'. At least he can see that and it will now hopefully change.

I don't understand Joey and Sam (the Mark spark was def still there btw!). Joey is a really sweet boy but he just seems...so...anxious. It's not been nice to watch him atm as he just seems so unhappy.

Bit of a crap episode in all. Lack of drama. Nothing actually happened. Bit of a shame.

Can't stand Dani or Jasmin...both horrible fake little girls, with zero personality.

Quite liked seeing some genuine emotion from Arg. Hopefully he'll start changing back to how he used to be and not such a ****.

Joey and Sam = Yawn! Mario and Lucy = Yawn!

Can't say I'm sorry to see Lydia go, she'd run her course.

Also Lucy's comments about Mario's profession irked me a little. It's quite clear that she does not have enough money to pay for her own business. The money she's earned off TOWIE would not be enough to start a shop completely on her own.
They get money for personal appearances and endorsing products etc They all seem to have made alot of money so she probably did buy the shop herself

I actually agreed with her, it would annoy me to have a boyfriend hanging round the house all day while you're at work

I must be on my own here but I thought it was the best episode for ages with the most genuine emotion.

The only thing that irked was the massive continuity errors.

Lucy and Mario, coats and no coats up the eye,
Sam and Joey, rowing at the dinner table, storming off then very next scene in the hot tub.

The preparation for Arg's party on the same day as the other lot were in Norfolk.

And the cast split between two parties for the climax.

Unfortunately Mark's return seemed to remind me how good it used to be, and with Lydia leaving I think the beginning of the end has begun.

Even Mario slipped up by saying in his row with Lucy that he would get a job "in a year or so, when this is all over".

I predict they will be like rats leaving a sinking ship from ow on!

I think I just missed the point of the episode completely

Nothing much really happened, and what did happen bored me.

I stayed up for this crap. So Lydia has just bought a house but is leaving Essex?? Makes sense.
I seem to remember that she "bought a house" a couple of series back - a big place that needed work doing to it? That was seen once then forgotten. And now Debbie acting like her little girl is leaving home for the first time .....

That wouldn't cover the costs of starting up a business+the lifestyle she lives.

I've actually looked at appearances for the TOWIE stars and people like Joey can get £500+ for a night at a nightclub. He can't do that every day, so let's say he does that once a week(which he usually does). That's would be somewhere in the region of £50k a year+ endorsements. Also bear in mind that he drives a cheap Smart car. But Mario who was a tailor at the time managed to buy a brand new Audi R8 worth £80k+?

They're not earning as much as you think. A lot of their possessions are probably leased or bought by someone else

She probably didn't even buy that house. The house we saw yesterday seemed for realistic. In fact it wasn't even a detached house.

I agree, it was an amazing christmas episode. It ticked all the boxes. Mark coming back was great. Arg admitting all his mistakes. It was like Towie meets the Christmas Carol.

Also glad Lydia leaving, it's been on the cards for a while. I hope we still see Debbie though.

Unlike some others, I actually like Jasmine, she's controversial player type girl, which is what the show needs.

Bring on the next series.

Also back in s1 didn't Lucy come in as Marks new girl so they may have had friends in common but not actually been friends for long.
Next year they need to drop a few characters there's too many I reckon Tom P and Ricky could go as although I quite like them they add nothing to the show. Arg and Gemma I'd love to see go but I reckon they've got something on the producers as they keep coming back.

A series like this can only run for so long. It was only ever going to have a short shelf life anyway.....but I've enjoyed each series alot

Sorry to hear lovely Lydia is leaving .... Arg finally drove her away

And Joey should just sit back and enjoy his relationship with Sam. Forget weddings. That can come much later down the line. Whats the rush

This has been the weirdest SL for me. I dont get where it all started and where all this supposed "pressure" was coming from. Sam has said numerous times she has never mentioned getting engaged (unless she's lying) & there's been none of this so called pressure from his friends, who all actually seem to care for Joey and get upset when they see him upset.

Maybe the producers put the whole thing in his head telling him Sam had mentioned to them that she wanted to get engaged, and then they switched the cameras on

Also, does anyone remember a few series' back when Sam & Billie were in their shop and giving eachother bitchy dirty looks? It was obviously so contrived anyway, but it only lasted that episode - random

I enjoyed it but it seems that reality TV is not good for any of their relationships - no surprise there.

It was good to see Mark back again, to me he is Mr TOWIE.

I hope Arg sorts himself this year although having him come to his party is some kind of sleigh grinning and waving like a buffoon is not a good start!

The worst episode in TOWIE history. What a load of bullsh*t. The show needs a serious overhaul in cast if it wants to last another year. Lyida & Tom K are gone so I feel Cara & Billi will be soon behind them which is a shame because their my favourites. I'm sick of them bringing back old cast members. Mark Wright was bad enough the first time and the scenes where Jess phoned him and the one with Arg bubbling were the most ridiculous things in the world.

If I was in charge of the cast it would be like this:

Tom P, Bobby, Charlie(He does makes me cringe though), Little Chris, Diags, Cara, Billi, Billie, Sam, Mario, Gemma & Arg(even though they irritate me sometimes), Chloe, Frankie, Lauren P & Lucy.

And I'd bring back Lauren G(always had a soft spot for her), Lydia & Tom K. (but i'd give Arg a restraining order to stay away from them because when he does they're fun).

Debbie could have a few guest appearances but that's it.

The axe would definitely hit The Wrights first, horrible, annoying people.

The axes would be:

Danni, Jasmine, Ricki, Mick (He's becoming arrogant), Carol, Nanny Pat(used to like her but not so much now), Joey(just desperate for attention with his fake stupidity), Kirk and Jess(cannot stand her she seems like a vile bully who is always in a fight with someone but never once has apologised even when apologised to.)

and the list of cast members band from coming back ever would be Amy Childs, Harry Derbidge and Mark Wright.

Gemma and Bobby need to leave. They seem to just bitch about people behind their backs, so that it's seen on TV and they can have arguments and shout at people.

Neither seems to actually have a life of their own, they watch TOWIE, disagree with something someone says, then next episode confront them.

That's the thing with Bobby, he can dish it out but doesn't seem to take it back too well.
