Why didn't the dead people in the cars come back?

Why not just use the cars in the front of the jam. Why try and repair the mobile home. There were enough large vehicles in front.
The zombie they dissected. His stomach looked far too big and bloated when he was lying down. Standing up he was thin as a rake.
Far too many plot holes in this drama.

Rather than keep fixing that damned hose, you'd just go and get yourself a new motor home wouldn't you?

At least Charlton Heston used to go and drive brand new cars out of the showroom in The Omega Man.

The dead ones were killed by head trauma.

The black guy was bleeding from an open wound. (the wound was funny too, he cut himself on some sharp door edge and instead of pulling his hand away from the sharp edge, as any reflex action would, he went deeper into it...). The guy with the bow then heaped bleeding corpses on him. I guess he is now infected...or else another plot hole.

The corpses were not "bleeding" .... you could tell by the look of them they were dead for a long time considering the looked almost like mummies....

I don't think there has been any reveal of how people get effected yet, although it is a long time since the first season appeared on Five.

It doesn't have to be blood, its possible that it is only spread by saliva in open wounds. I think you are right in that we will probably see that man eventually change into a zombie.

I've put the following in spoiler tags for those of you whom, like me, are VERY careful of spoilers, however, I wouldn't really call it a spoiler, more of a 'tip off'. It has nothing to do with characters are events that will happen, it's just a it of base information about the series. It doesn't give anything away, it doesn't ruin anything about the series, and even after reading it you probably won't understand it for a while, but I have spoiler tagged it just incase, so read at your own peril!

Spoiler

I love the show, but I understand that not everybody does. It's hardly a crime.

A great episode tonight that didn't focus really on the zombie crisis but rather on the family unit - the human side of the tragedy.

I hope the search for the young girl doesn't drag it's feet though.

Great ending with Shane and the "idot who shot my son" trapped in the high school.

Good character development in this episode.

Nice to see Pruitt Taylor Vince making an appearance as well, although I think his character is probably done for in the next one!

see bold above. The human side of things are what the Americans consider crucial to the story telling. Look at what they did to Lost. It became more of resolving the love stories in the series than dealing with the science and mythics of the story.

Zombie stories are about zombies and what happened and why it happened. Not about love between humans.
Thats why this series is fast becoming rubbish.

.
It;s one of the best seasons of TV that I;ve ever seen. It doesnt fall back on cliches at any time. Unlike most american tv shows nothing seems to be sacred and that's all to the good.

It's a post apoc when all is send and done. It's about survival and how people rebuild. There are no scientists, you saw that at the end of season one. That said it never descends into the chaos that was seriously well named Lost.

The Walking Dead. Season 2 / C5

This is a zombie apocalypse TV series on C5. It is on mondays at 10.00 pm or repeated on tuesdays at 10.00 pm on 5 *. Its really good and pretty scary. The first 2 episodes have been on and they were much superior to similar British TV series.

Yes, it's great, isn't it? Have you watched the first season (which, personally, I found better than the second)?

Other threads on this series are in the 'Cult' section.

Makes the British 'Survivors' series - or whatever it was called - seem even more laughable than it was in the first place

Yeah, love the show, although agree Season 1 was better than season 2.

Thanks. I will look in the cult section.
No I never heard about this TV series till the season 2 came on, so I havent seen season 1 yet. I will get the Season 1 on dvd if i can as its quality. At the moment the American TV series seem to be better than the British ones.

I thought it did the guilt well. Also the sheriff was being blamed for leaving the girl by her mother in the first episode and his son was injured as a result of the search. He hasnt blamed the guy for the accident as much as the mother.

It does sometimes rely on characters doing stupid things, though.

Cannot wait for season 2 DVD release in August and cannot wait for season 3 to begin in October.

I think the budget and the character development are what make this such a great television series. The gore that they have been allowed to get away with is astounding. Plus the added fact that you never really know who they are going to kill off next just adds to the drama.

It's America, they eat violence for breakfast...
However, I am surprise at the sudden increase in swearing so far in S2, not offended just surprised that they went from none at all in season 1 to loads in season 2
