I've been keeping an eye on the ratings are they have been absolutely dreadful all season.

Channel 5 signed a 2 season deal and even though it is a 2nd run deal, it wouldn't have been cheap.

It just look's highly unlikely that they will buy season 3

I tend to side with Shane. What they know about this bloke is that he tried to kill them. That's not a good introduction. Now they are stuck with him. If they let him go, he might bring the other group back to the farm, and it's pretty clear from the ones we've met that they are belligerent and will want to rape all the women etc.

It's all very different from how Rick's group made contact with Herschel's group. I doubt they'll ever be able to trust him, so what are they going to do?

Good points but i thought he shot at them to protect himself as they were all armed, just as they would if roles were reversed. His friends left him for dead and possibly wont bother going back for him whrn they realised how many walkers were around when they left him. He was blindfolded so might not be able to find his way back. Plus hes the only outsider in the group and unarmed so it would be easy for the group to keep him in place.

Will Mondays episode be repeated, as I've had a few problems with my Freeview PVR and that episode didn't record..
Plus it's not on Demand 5..

It amazes me that they apparently did not talk to their captive until they were about to release him. Surely they should have taken the time to find out if he had something to contribute to their group? Of course he tried to shoot them, but they had already killed two members of his group.

Shane's solution to everything seems to be to kill everyone who he thinks is in his way. If he had returned without Rick he would have had to explain to Lori what happened while showing himself in a good light - I doubt that this would have been possible especially as he already returned once before, without Otis.

Yeah, I thought that was a great scene. You could tell that Rick knew trouble was brewing even though the two guys were trying to be friendly.

Rick has faith in humankind - Shane does not.

Randall was shooting at them yes. But it was self defence too.

I'm another who would cheer on a pack of walkers ripping Lori limb from limb. She's got nothing to offer but bug eyed winging on a skeletal frame!

I feel the same tbh. The way she laid into Andrea in Hershel's kitchen because she doesn't do the ironing and the cooking like a good woman should was just hilarious. It had my blood boiling because at least Andrea is attempting to protect herself and the group and not just sit there and moan about her husband doing stuff for others.

Sadly though I think Lori is here to stay for a while a least. There's too many "what will happen" question regarding the pregnancy for them to just kill her off too early.

I'm in favour of anything that prevents there being a baby on the show. If that means the baby gets eaten, so be it

Oh no! These last few weeks have been really annoying with shane trying to take control, i was really liking dale. He had become my fav character. After todays show im really not liking carl. Its his fault dale died and hes becoming more and more like shane every day. Hopefully it wont be long before his father notices and does something about it!

It seems a shame that the three guys risked their lives saving the teen only for the group to then want him dead. Why did rick herschel and glen agree with shane? If hes that much of a threat they should have left him impaled.

I know theres a third season but realistically with dale gone i could easily see shane killing almost everyone so he lori and carl can live happily ever after on herschels farm. I found it so cheeky when lori hinted that she wants the group to move into the farm. Its not their property!

Dales death was a shock and really sad. He was the one character I really like along with Andrea. The way the kid Carl was acting near the stream where the walker was appeared was creepy and he should have told the others about the walker.Feel like something bads about to happen.

Agreed. That was harsh on Dale.

Dale was also one of my favourites and him getting killed off was a major shock but it gets even better. Despite the slow start at the beginning of this season, TWD is a fantastic show.

Its will be a shame if C5 dont buy the third season, but I will get it on dvd anyway.

How many episodes of this series are left? I'll miss the next two weeks due to being on holidays. Don't tell me I'll miss the finale.

There has been quite a rapid and changing transformation in the personality of Carl that makes me a bit uneasy. He has gone from a young, naive boy into someone who seems to relish killing. I wouldn't have thought that he would have wanted Randall killed, yet he told his Dad to do it several times before Rick decided against it yet he didn't manage to kill the trapped walker.

Dale's death was a bit of a surprise as I felt that he was the a bit like the main patriarch of the group. He was wise and a very good judge of character, Rick is the leader in other ways. Maybe Hershall will replace Dale in this role in the future?

Dunno if it was ever confirmed, but there were a lot of rumours that Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale) asked to be written out because he was unhappy that Frank Darabont was fired.

omg just seen , they have killed off Dale , shocker , liked him a lot

might be right about him being pissed off about Farnk darabont departure, he has worked with in quite a few projects

no idea why Carl suddenly become a little sh!t , didnt see that coming either , rather he was killed rather than Dale, :P

Shane will be happier now i think , now that he does not have anyone to to try and backstab him, Shane may now try and poison the group against Rick , and go for leadership.

Glad I'm not the only person who thought Carl's becoming a complete dick. I appear to be the only person who doesn't mind Lori...
