I guess Matt could possibly be ruled out... however seeing as he is from the BBC, I would say he would be more likely to do Strictly than DOI.

I hope if he gets offered both he chooses Strictly - no doubt ITV will be able to offer him more money but Strictly is the better show and he'd be in a better position to showcase his dance skills..........I find it quite hilarious that Jodie Marsh is also tipped to do DOI - I hope she does it then I'll never have to see her on Strictly

Wasn't there big rumours Phil Tuffnel was doing DOI on one year with even pictures of him on the ice and he must have been approached for both DOI and SCD and in the end did SCD?

It was the same sort of thing as with Widdy except with Anton being the much shorter one instead of the much taller one! Difference is, however, I reckon Miranda could do a good dance! Anton's sorta been snookered with Ann and Nancy, with Miranda he could do something funny and yet with a bit more content. I don't think Miranda will do it but you never know...

Yes I remember him being interviewed whilst he was doing SCD and he said he'd been offered both though I didn't see any pictures of him on ice - he said something like he eventually chose SCD because there was less risk of serious injury - I suppose also the point you mentioned earlier re Matt would apply to Phil since he has a lot of employment by the BBC I guess he also might have wanted to show his loyalty by choosing SCD over DOI too.

I was randomly thinking about the next series of Strictly earlier today, and was thinking that the BBC could sign up Joss Stone or Billie Piper or someone along those lines. As far as I'm aware they're not particularly relevant anymore in terms of music and acting respectively, so perhaps there's a good chance they'd have time on their hands to do it. Can't think of any others that might be good at the moment.

Billie's just been in a BBC series. Can't see anything that she's currently involved in.

She's 5ft 5 according to IMDB - one for Pasha or James maybe?

As has been written Billie Piper is busy with acting work. Joss Stone seems to be very well respected in music circles and still busy, just not bothered with pop music / charts. She would also have problems on SCD in barefeet!

This wouldn't be Cowell planting stories in the media to keep one of his shows in the spotlight would it ?

Isn't the prize on BGT to perform at the Royal variety show ? - which is filmed in November / Dec - so whoever won would be under contract to Cowell / ITV up to that date.

I think any member of the 'royal family' would be a bad idea on SCD! I'll admit I'm not a royalist so I'm probably biased but I bet the judges heads would be so far up the arse of any 'royal' taking part .......it would be comletely unedifying........besides it's not as if they need the publicity or money..... they get enough of that already at the tax payers largesse and they have plenty of their own inherited wealth!

I think Craig and Camilla are quite friendly already. Didn't Camilla visit the strictly set last year? And wasn't there a newspaper article where Craig mentioned the possibility of Camilla being a contestant? All in jest of of course

Princess Anne also joked that she'd take part as long as she could dance with Anton!

I think the closest we'll get to royalty is Jennie Bond or Fergie!

I think he'll retire soon.

Michael Owen would be an acceptable substitute, excuse the pun.
