Cannot pause or rewind live TV
Seymour Cat
01-05-2012
I've had a 9150 model for a little over a year now, with no problems until a few days ago.

I can no longer pause or rewind live TV on any channels, even when the box isn't recording anything.

I can still schedule recordings, and they record fine, so I don't think it's a problem with the hard drive.

Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix? I don't want to reformat as I have a half full library of as yet unwatched programmes.

Thanks

The buffers used for time shifting are corrupt. This is a well known problem. Theeasy fix is to format the drive but as you don't want to do that the only other option is to open the box, connect the drive to a PC and use an undocumented option of humaxrw to delete the buffers; the Humax will then create new buffers when it boots up.
