I think the Star is largely off the hook because people don't care about it. Run on a micro-budget, full of cut and pastes from other papers and dirt-cheap sub-z-list nano-interviews, it hardly counts as a newspaper at all. It is very rarely quoted on DS GD, though it IS sometimes quoted in the Big Brother forum, as it is the last UK paper regularly to carry BB stories; unfortunately they are invariably quite wrong.

My favourite newspaper only got one vote, I must be doing something right then. (And no, it's not the People )

Do The Observer and The Independent have no votes because nobody reads them, or they're aren't offensive?

It just goes to prove the staggering amount of Dailymailophobia around.
41% voted the Mail (for example) yet only 8% voted for the vastly inferior "poor man's Mail" - The Express. ![]() People can't think straight for their illogical hatred.

Too easy to vote for The Mail, as much as the copy is complete crap, it's a well produced and targeted rag.
I went for the Daily Express with it's pisspoor imitation. If I had another vote, it'd go to the Independent. |

Express is full of crap but mostly harmless, Mail is full of crap and pretty harmful. Logic!

as much as I'd like to say the sun it does have some light-hearted articles. So I'd say the Daily Star, or the Express.

I think The Metro should be on the list. I love it, it's just the principle.

Too right. At least the DM knows how to make a successful website and make headlines about things other than, well, you-know-who. I like the Indy and I really like "i" though.

Is that the one where they keep regurgitating endless Diana stories? Or is that the Star? |

Having argued that the Daily Express is the worst, I voted DM just to deny it even that amount of attention.

The Daily Star, as it is just mindrot with endless exclusives about a reality show everyone gave up on years earlier and the usual X Factor, Cheryl Cole, Kerry Katona nonsense that must strike a chord with its readers. However, for all this is an awful newspaper with hardly any real news, it is far less dangerous than The Sun which mixes Daily Star type news with reporting that is grossly untrue and resorts to hacking people's phones.

Daily mail, because people actually take it seriously, unlike the Sun and Star which everyone knows are a joke.

The Express definitely does, I have no idea about the Star! Hasn't made it on to my radar in a while.
